Jeez that is amazing. How are you doing it?:T:T  :beer::beer: to the lil one:beer::beer::beer:

Well done, dawyldthing, keep it up.
I might just slip in here to help me keep going on my attempt at weight loss, if you don't mind.
I lost a lot of weight through slowly cutting down, two years ago and kept it off for ages. This past few months (since summer really) my weight has crept up and up and I was shocked to see I hit 14st. I am an older lady (63) and it doesn't come off easily. I am around 5ft 5 but shrinking a bit due to back problems.
Anyway, it is always hard to lose weight at this time of year but it can also be the challenge you need - there is nothing more satisfying as watching others eat and drink too much while you are being good, lol.
I have a really upset tummy at the moment and a cold of some sort. What I often find is that when my weight creeps up, I get ill and lose half a stone. Silver lining and all that but I wouldn't wish it upon anyone really.
Keep up the good work. I was 13st 13 this morning so feel a bit more positive. Funny how just hitting the stone below makes you feel good.0 -
No not at all. We can all encourage each other to keep on track. Have you got a goal as to what you would like to be?
The nerovirus (sp) keeps doing the rounds. I work in care and it's a miracle if we don't pick it up each time. Touch wood I'm ok to now, but it's bound to get me eventually (although it's surprising how much weight you lose cos of it, doesn't feel it at the time). Me neither, wipes you out though:T:T  :beer::beer: to the lil one:beer::beer::beer:

Thanks, no real goal as I doubt I will ever get under 13 and a half stone any more. But, I do have a goal as I bought a beautiful, brand new pure wool coat today in a charity shop for £25 and although it fits well, a little bit off my tummy area should improve it as it is quite fitted. So, if I can get down to 13 and a half stone by Christmas I will be happy for the moment.
Luckily my husband has agreed to buy the coat for me. A real bargain at £25.0 -
That is a bargain. You can't go wrong at that price. Plus it will be very warm. I can't believe how cold it is getting. I felt like bambi on my way to work at 6.30am this morning. It was worse looking at it on my way home as I wondered how I did actually make it, so you need something warm on.
I've not done too bad. I keep having my omelette for breakfast with a little cheese and I'm quite enjoying it to be honest. I had a fish cake and some veg earlier and I've just had a couple of crackers as I was still hungry. I need to perfect eating a bit more earlier so I don't get hungry later. But I'm feeling a lot better for it. Not been to the gym but hoping to go swimming again tomorrow. I've got quite a long week ahead as I've got my nan to look after (and a warfarin appointment to attend, but there a headache of there own) and our 3 dogs plus a number of hours at work so expecting to keep busy. I'm planning what to give nan and when so it might help me to get in the swing of planning for myself too. Going to get some eggs on my way back from swimming and a few other bits to keep us going the week:T:T  :beer::beer: to the lil one:beer::beer::beer:

You are right, it is getting really cold now. Going to be freezing overnight here in Herts. I've got to get up early tomorrow to go to my granddaughter's Christmas show rehearsal so I will wear my new coat and look posh, lol.
You do sound busy but I think it is good to be busy though. I like going out in the morning at some point then not getting back till lunch time as it stops me from eating biscuits etc. which I would with my mid-morning drink. I made scrambled eggs for lunch but didn't put butter in. It wasn't as tasty as my usual scrambled eggs but I expect it was better for me. It kept me full through till dinner time when I measured out my portion of spaghetti with meatballs. Maybe I should have left off the parmesan cheese though. I am trying not to eat after 6pm but it is hard. I had a lovely rice cake covered with chocolate which was 85 calories so not too bad.
Look after yourself as well as others, that is really important as you need to keep going. I used to be tempted to skip meals when I was younger but never had any energy and was always getting ill. Not good when I had young children to look after. Some days I kept going on black coffee!!0 -
My collegue always says to me too look after myself too as life's so hectic. It's true though. I'm finding the gym and classes are my me time. Ibgo to darts on a Wednesday and they do some dinner so just having to cut down on that too. If I don't eat enough during the day I snack at night, but know I shouldn't as it definatly doesn't help. I don't drink hot drinks as it burns the top of my mouth, but used to drink tonnes of robin sons juice. It definately hasn't helped me over the years. That and pasta when a student. I always think you have to have some things you enjoy though.
I weighed myself this morning as I'm on a sleepover so won't be able to do it tomorrow. I was 15st 7 on one scale, 15 3 in another spot so weighed myself at work and was 15stone 5lbs. So I'll stick with that one as I know it should be right from it being the same as the doctors. So I've lost 2lbs which I'm really happy with as even losing a pound a week will go towards my target.:T:T  :beer::beer: to the lil one:beer::beer::beer:

Well done. A bit at a time, the best way. I was a bit annoyed as I seem to have put on two pounds since yesterday morning and I was pretty good food wise yesterday.
My scales are erratic. Normally you get on and it reads your weight then you get off and it comes up with a C which means it is calibrating or something. Then you get on again and it gives you your real weight. The past few days it has skipped the C stage and I am hopeful that it will show but doesn't meaning, instead that what I see is what I am. Confusing though.
Just been out to my granddaughter's Christmas show and it was freezing walking there. Her other grandma insisted we went into a cafe for coffee and ended up having a doughnut which wasn't actually that nice, not worth the calories. So now I have to be extra specially good for the rest of the day.0 -
I always weigh just on one day as I get disheartened if I weigh more than once a week.
It is, plus it seems to change as to where it is. I weigh in our kitchen, but even in there near the door shows one reading to in hone middle.
It's disappointing when something sounds good but is rubbish, esp when it's cakes etc. we've had the heating on more than normal, but have put extra in through the direct debit so it shouldn't be such a shock.
I walked 3 miles as I walked to work, back home then back to work. Also went swimming and did 1100 metres (I'm going to aim for 1800 metres in an hour soon as I do the swimming and don't feel stiff, so think I probably could do it). I was going to the gym now but I'm tired and got another shift later so might go to Zumba in the morning instead and go to the gym Friday (well that's the plan). Didn't do too bad diet wise but did have a few biscuits so need to have snacks to hand to stop it. Maybe going to get carrots in.:T:T  :beer::beer: to the lil one:beer::beer::beer:

I think I will just weigh myself on a Monday morning. Maybe I won't be so despondant that way.
Just back from a trip into town (walking) and bought a nice, red, John Lewis scarf for £1.50 from the hospice shop. I washed it and it is drying now. My daughter did one of those colour courses and it is amazing how colour can lift you. I wear a lot of black but like to have a splash of red so I am pleased with this.
Tried to find some nice, black, dressy boots but could only find in M&S and didn't want to pay full price as I have already bought boots this year. Thought I would go online and use a cashback site but, of course, they don't have my size. Oh well....
Just about to make some porridge for lunch. I find that quite filling and it sees me through till dinner. Having a roasted chicken piece with some roasted veg for dinner so, hopefully, won't be eating any rubbish today.0
