I'm 5 foot 3 ish, not that tall really. Most of my weights on my legs and some on my belly too. I need to tone up along the way too or it won't look healthy. That is amazing though. Did you do it yourself or through slimming world or the like?

Hey yes I used the SW plan and followed what I sussed out worked for me. I do attend group every week and get weighed but definitely don't follow the plan as some do.

All my weight was on my belly - I still have a little belly but its never going to totally go away. I would definitely recommend toning up as much as you can as you go along the way.

Be kind to yourself, well done for losing what you have so far and keep going. One tip if you find weightloss is stalling have a week of trying different foods as this can get things moving again.

Also please do have a cheat meal once a week!

I've had a bit of a wobbly week but have stayed at 15 stone 7lb.

I've got a busy week at work so still going to try and fit 3 gym/ swimming in hopefully Sunday and early next week as I won't have much time in next 3 days as I'm working quite a few hours.

I'm still cutting down, just need to make my way to the gym more. Will start and plan it in around my shifts.

Don't be too disheartened. As someone with an underactive thyroid also, I know it can be very frustrating when you don't see the scale move. Sometimes life just gets in the way, just do what you can fit in to your schedule.
That voice in your head that says you can’t do this is a LIAR!

It certainly is, especially when everyone just assumes you eat for 2 when I don't and it still don't shift

Good luck with your weight loss. It has nothing to do with your thyroid and everything to do with what you eat. Losing weight is 100% diet so a busy work schedule should not keep you from eating less. Exercise will improve overall health, help you *look* better and speed things up, but in terms of weight loss, nothing but diet. Remember, its all about calories in vs calories out. Eat less then you need to survive = lose weight. Eat more - gain weight.

    Good luck!
  • Its about nutrition as much as it is about calories in and out. I don't count calories, I just rarely eat junk. You could lose weight on a diet of cheese sandwiches, it wouldn't be very good for you. Losing weight isn't 100 per cent diet, exercise matters as well. I appreciate that some people don't exercise and that is their choice, but a combination of good nutrition and exercise helps a lot of people. Exercise has been massively important when I've lost weight. I've lost 25kgs in the last 18 months, exercise and a good diet kept me motivated.

Its finding what works for the individual.

It's from a cake shop called Birds. https://www.google.co.uk/#q=elephants+foot+cake&facrc=_&imgrc=J1K9HIiCMQMizM%253A%3Bundefined%3Bhttp%253A%252F%252F1.bp.blogspot.com%252F-b315AGblVYQ%252FTV1bGPIFAgI%252FAAAAAAAAAWs%252FikTazFdV7PI%252Fs1600%252FSNV34397.JPG%3Bhttp%253A%252F%252Ftheprincessandthecake.blogspot.com%252F2011%252F03%252Fwhat-makes-monster-and-what-maks-man.html%3B1600%3B1200

Quite amused that it was the 3rd picture. Must be a Derbyshire thing lol. It's that and the affectionate term duck that I think we're renown for lol.

I've managed to not do bad these last few days. Work used to let us eat there, but now we have to take in our own food which is doing me a favour as it just means eating before or after we go out anywhere.

I also went swimming. I looked back through the swim tag the other day when setting up the swim thing and it was March 2013 that I went. I agree with Jeems though I feel a lot better with going to the gym etc. my skin seems better and I do feel more better and more alert. I've not eaten too bad, mainly had eggs quite a bit. But I walk by an aldi on my way to work so will start calling in on my way and picking up something to try or have.

Oh my !! I remember Elephants Feet from my school days, we used to get them for lunch. I went to school in South Yorkshire but very close to the Derbyshire border. I also ate a fair bit of Bakewell Pudding !
