I'm in

If it's okay with everybody, I'm going to save £2 per day from 1st December so that I have just over £700 next December.....My Family and Friends have been extremely Supportive over the last 5 years while I have been Studying to become a Qualified Psychotherapist....and I finished the Course last night (:D) so next Year I really want to save up so that I can really treat my Family and Friends in a rather Spectacular way!!
I've already made a note in my Diary on December 1st....and I have a Metal Tin (that I've had for ages) that says "£500 Saver" on it....so it might not fit all the money in it....but I can always add another little tin if I run out of space....
Let's GO FOR IT!!

Love the name of the thread, would be lovely to have the money available for Christmas.
Now I'm trying to think of where to save my £1 a day. Online is easiest and just transfer across but I will have to be disciplined about not dipping in. I am thinking a sealed tin would be better because if I actually had to unseal - I would think more before spending. How are others going to save?LBM no. 2 £20k
1st debt to tackle - store card £216.700 -

That's lovely Helen, wouldn't it be fantastic to have the money available to be able to treat everybody...and congrats on finishing the course! :T

I'm using a sealed tin. I bought mine from a pound shop! I've already started saving £2 coins in it and will add the £1 a day from 1st Dec.0 -

I was thinking about doing this anyway so I'd love to get the support and motivation of doing it along with fellow MSE-ers.
I think I'm going to try and get a tin or similar to keep my £1 coins in. I might put a money counter/piggy bank on my Xmas list!!

As the 1kg pot of peanut butter is nearly finished (will be finished before December 1st) I've come up with the option of using the pot. I'll clean it up, make a hole in the top and tape the lid down so I won't be tempted to go into it. That saves me the price of a jar and should easily be big enough for all the one pound coins that will go in it.Now I'm trying to think of where to save my £1 a day.
