Have some more hugs from me. You must be so sick of all this one thing after another. Hope your DS2 is better soon. And how encouraging to hear from Nikki another brain tumour survivor, just shows it's not all doom and gloom (Nikki my OH is a fellow survivor). Take care Lucky and I hope you have a good weekend x

  • Thanks everyone :A. DS2's eye is much improved today :T, less red and swollen. I've got everything crossed that the lump will reduce next and no operation or anything will be necessary.

DH went running with Paramedic Mate this morning which was good for both of us. He has been better today though.

We haven't met up with the usuals for coffee today, mainly because they are going in to town which I really can't face on a Saturday, and also to keep DS2 from spreading any potential germs to Grandma. Instead we all went for a walk around the village, which I think was good for everyone. I'm still feeling down/glum/anxious and the fresh air perked me up a little. I'm having to really force myself to eat at the moment, which isn't like me at all.

Work tonight. Where did my month off just go? Did I blink and miss it?!?!

Hope everyone is having a good weekend Xx

Sorry to hear you are feeling a little low/glum/anxious Lucky but keep in mind those 'episodes' don't last.. and focus on any little thing you can do that picks up your mood or makes you feel positive even for just one minute. Taking it minute by minute is the only thing we can sometimes do. Try to eat, that too will help improve your mindset (I know I'm teaching my granny to suck eggs but you must try and eat even if just a tiny bit :)) Good luck at work.... hope it goes swift and smooth.. Love.. Levi..x

Hope you're feeling a bit chirpier soon. Must be something in the air as I've felt gloomy at week. Daft as it may sound work tonight might perk you up - a different environment away from the stresses of family life. Hope so :)

A change is as good as a rest apparently so as you're not going to get a rest perhaps being back at work will shake those blues away x

  • Hi Lucky

I can certainly sympathise with the feeling glum issue, i really do believe these short miserable days don't help.

Maybe getting out to work, chatting with work colleagues might be a break from home worries.

    Take care hun xxx

  • Cheers everyone. Work wasn't too bad (apart from there being only two of us trying to do the work of four), and you were all right, it was good to have a change of scene. Sorry and hugs to everyone else who feels glum too.

    I ate some tea :D.

Today was a NSD so I hit my 10 :j.

Cannot believe you are back at work already, you are right, it only seems like 5 mins ago you had a month off!
