  • Today has mainly consisted of A&E again :(. GP wanted DS2 looked at by the paediatrics team again, so off we went back to hospital. He has an eye infection and is on strong oral antibiotics and eye drops. If that does not make a difference by tomorrow we have to go back to A&E for IV antibiotics :eek:. Keep your fingers crossed everyone!

    DH has been quite miserable today. We got to the hospital at lunchtime and he was obviously hungry but didn't want anything as it wasn't 'diet friendly'. Pointed out that him not eating wasn't 'epilepsy friendly'. He chose to starve and be miserable. I didn't eat either but I wasn't at risk like he is. Anyway, he's a bit better now we've been home an hour and have eaten.

    October, are we talking early March (like in 4 weeks), or late March (more like 8 weeks)? If it's the latter you may need to bring it forward! Xx

    Sorry to hear about grumpiness and poorliness PLMBL. I can sympathise with grumpy hungriness though, I once ruined a day trip out and ended up crying because I was so hungry and mad with myself that I was mad with myself for being hungry (lol)

    I hope everything improves soon, we've all been ill in my house too, last week I had a sickness bug, followed by a stinking cold, and now my weary bones are achy...roll on half term, feel like I've been back for weeks, even though the last two half terms were eight weeks each!

  • Oh No!!! Poor DS2 that sounds awful and really not nice for him to cope with. Everything crossed!!! <3

    I got a free 2 minute timer from the local water company for my teeth and it does take forever. The 4 minute one they gave me for the shower takes the mick though! I am sure they have rigged it!!! :rotfl:

    I too get very grumpy when hungry but DH... honestly it is like another child :( Feel for you being the constant grown up. I like to throw a childish strop every now and again! ;)

    Hope your evening is quiet and pleasant Lucky xx

  • :mad: just lost a post! Hate it when that happens!

    To sum up;

    Thank you cazzy and Lilt, your support is much appreciated. I've known DH to be much worse, but he's not been easy today either! Cazzy, I hope you feel better soon, and I totally agree with you, this half term has lasted forever! Can't believe it's still January!

    DS2 fast asleep, will see how he is in the morning.

    Hospital trip today meant no NSD. Wanted 10 this month and have got 9 so far with just 2 days to go! Not sure I'll make the 10, but thrilled with 9 anyway.

  • Hi Lucky,

    I stumbled across your thread in Nov last year and subscribed. Found you again and resubscribed. Still trying to work out how to use this forum. I think you are an amazing woman caring for your husband and kids. I relate to your post because I had surgery just over 2yrs ago to remove a brain tumour which they discovered was causing unexplained seizures. Needless to say I am still recovering and my husband has been my sole carer and it has not been easy for us. I am no longer on meds but I can relate to your husbands behaviour cause I struggle daily. I am usually the one that does all the finances/paperwork juggling etc and it all has taken a hit. I am still trying. I haven't finished reading all your posts but will get there eventually. I just want to encourage you to keep up the good work. It is very motivating to me.:j
