  • Evening all and thank you once again for all your kind words. I'm very lucky to have you all Xx

DH got weighed this morning and has gained 2lbs. We are both surprised it's not more after his post seizure binge, but he is back on track now. New tablets started last night but it's too early to see any side effects or improvements.

Sparky, I know what you mean about 'good' bras, and I assume it works out the same in terms of buying several cheap bras over one decent one, however I really can't justify the big spend at the moment. I was thrilled to find a bra in my size in Mr A's as Up until recently I had no choice but to use places for bigger b00bies :o.

Today has been a NSD :T. Apart from the gym I haven't been anywhere, but DH went out with his Mum this afternoon. I didn't get much alone time as they went out just before I had to collect DS2, however I got some time just the boys and I which was nice. I also rang S@nt@nder to query the direct debit and was told it takes a full statement period for the update to take effect, so the lower amount won't start until February . This was not what I was told when I changed the direct debit so I think I will still complain.

Feeling a little brighter today, have been able to push panicky feelings away when they start Xx

  • Hello chums and thank you for your kind comments! It's good to see you've all had generally positive days. I've taught six classes today of cheesed off teenagers desperate for snow!! Every now and then the year sevens yell snowflake and get over excited. Bless them!!

PLMBL if you can't get the book send me a PM and I can send it to you. No sweat.

DD made a delia chocolate frozen bombers last night. Basically it's cream, chocolate, macaroons and brandy, more commonly known as a heart attack on a plate. No weight loss for me then this week!!

October, I will make you laugh one day!!

I'm just settling down for the night with two cats. DD has the third cat downstairs with her yorkshire terrier. Seven years ago I caved in and got kittens and this Christmas the dog. I used to claim to hate animals so it's really weird!! My preference is still the cats but Pirin is so small I pretend he's a cat that smells a little off.

Hope you all have a wonderful Thursday. My neighbours snowdrops have just started to open..... spring is almost here!!
With family, friends and pets (or any combination of them) life will be fine!

  • Hi Lucky,

Sorry to hear about the panicky feeling, not really surprising will all you have on your plate but still unpleasant none the less - hope it eases or you get some help if it's needed.

I've been on mat leave for a week now and it's flying by - I'm very busy finishing odd jobs in the house but will make a conscience effort to rest soon!

I thought DH's response to the hat seemed very childish too but I'm guessing thats to do with his illness and not just that he was having a whinge? It must be so hard for you to always be in charge and not have the full support of another adult. Bless MIL for being generous but it must undermine you sometimes. Fingers crossed for hubbys new meds and hoping that you manage more 'me time' in the coming weeks!
  • Also meant to ask how are your sister and partner doing? Any progress with the transplant work-up?
  • Hi lucky I had the same issue with my DD with Santander - frustrating as I like to play around with it too! I've now changed it to a set £100 and then overpaying instead.... all the other I change every month!

PS Asda do them? I will defo check that out next time I am there! I thought I had to go to the special place too! x

  • Afternoon all! Feel it's safe to come on here now, I would have just whinged and whinged if I came on any earlier! DH was super slow this morning, he kept cutting me off while I was talking to talk about something different, wasn't then listening to what I said anyway so I had to keep repeating myself, and then he had the cheek to tell me to calm down and not be horrible to him . All very frustrating, (though I may have been less then tolerant due to Aunt Flo's arrival :o).

So I finally got my copy payslips after going back to personnel and they STILL weren't done! So I sat and waited til they were! They have been posted to DWP today.

Been a bit naughty and did food shopping today instead of waiting until new budget week starts tomorrow. It seemed sensible as I was already at Mr A's for the payslips and I won't get a chance to go tomorrow while the boys are at school due to gym and then the energy assessment. I am counting it as next week's budget though and I spent £76.24.

Sparky, I am a G and found that in Mr A's.

Hopefuljoy those bombers sound the dogs danglies!! Hope you enjoyed every last calorie :D. Thank you for the offer of the book, will let you know how I get on.

Nicky, thank you for asking about my Sister and her partner. The new medications for her heart rate and water retention seem to have improved things a little - she has lost 4 stones on them!!! They were told to expect an appointment with the transplant team before Christmas, but when it came it was for beginning of Feb . Fingers crossed for that Xx

Well done on the weight loss Lucky. On the bra front - you're meant to only keep them for 6 months so no need to pay a lot unless you can afford it. I get mine from Sainsburys whenever they have 25% off. The quality is good for the price. Ignore Mr Lucky, Mr SA is always accusing me of either being horrible to him or treating him like a child - in one ear and out the other! Fingers crossed for yor sister's partner, I wondered how she was doing so thanks to Nicky for bringing this up.
