Chev, I'm sorry you are feeling down. I'm positive you aren't lazy, but perhaps if you think others could help more then that's a good place to start making improvements. Let us know if there is anything we can help with Xx

Steph, DS2's birthday is actually tomorrow, but with Auntie's party Friday night, DS2's party and present bonanza yesterday, meeting up with Grandma and Auntie for more gift giving today - I'm wrecked and we haven't even had the main event yet!!

So today we met up with Grandma as I said. She is more her feisty self which is lovely to see :T. She is 80 next month and I love her to bits. We also called into Mr A's because I needed to pick up my payslip (DWP checking up on us again, they ask for my payslips every 6 months or so incase we are trying to swizz them ), and I needed milk. £18 later ......

DH has been more 'normal' today. He has recovered quite well from his seizure this last week apart from eating anything and everything in sight since Friday. I think he will be disappointed when he gets weighed on Wednesday, but if it's aided his recovery then so be it. I, meanwhile, have been polishing my halo and I'm hoping for a good loss.

  • Hi Lucky, hope DS enjoys his actual birthday after all the fun of the weekend! Well done on your halo too - were you not tempted by a bit of birthday cake?? You are doing so well to be able to concentrate on dieting! I'm now 37 weeks pregnant and looking forward to being slimmer in a few weeks!

Sorry to hear about Hubby's latest seizure, is this something that is likely to happen forever or does the new medication hold hope for stopping them?

Wahoo to the lotto win too - get yourself something nice!

    Hello Lucky, :hello:

Happy [Official] Birthday to DS2! :bdaycake:

I love extended birthdays; always seems a good way to make everything a bit more special when the day itself must be given over to school or work.. :)

Sounds like DS2 has done very well for gifts this year - can you put a couple of boxes aside quietly, so that he's still got something new to discover once the novelty of the rest of his presents has worn off? ;)
  • Happy birthday DS2!! Hope you all have an amazing day!

Yay to winning £25!! :j things are on the up missy ;)

  • Hello peeps!

Well DS2 is officially 5! He had a lovely day, presents from us this morning, being the 'special person' at school, and then more presents from his Gran and Grandma tonight. He's done very well, and as Robin suggests, some can be hidden away for another date. Thank you for all the birthday wishes.

Nicky, how exciting that you only have 3 weeks left! Are you at the stage where it is dragging now or is it still going quickly? I did indeed have some birthday cake, and in fact I have had some every day for the last 3 days! However, I only had small pieces and haven't actually had anything else naughty at all, so hopefully the weigh in will still be good tomorrow. Re the medication for DH, the Consultant has always been very positive about finding an eventual cure, however the 'we are running out of options' statement has undermined that somewhat. You never know though, this could be the one that works.

Today has also been a 'doing' day and I've managed to cross a few things off my list. Some have been small, like finding out DS1's NHS number for Cubs (ended up ringing the GP because I couldn't find it!), others more involved like ordering duplicate mortgage statements which thankfully are now free as they used to be £25 . Think I probably forgot to mention it last week because of DH's seizure, but we have an energy assessor coming out on Friday to hopefully agree to a new boiler for free, but they need to see a mortgage annual statement and the last one I have is 2012 . No idea what happened to 2013 one, and 2014 hasn't been produced yet!! Our energy bills are ridiculous and hopefully a new boiler will help that.
On top of that we have been to the gym and DH has been to the dentist.

Feeling a bit panicky tonight and wish I could shake it off. I have a new understanding about DH and his 'waves of fear'. Not really sure what is going on in my head but wish it would stop. Xx
