The paw seems better today :T.

DH isn’t great and says the inside of his mouth has gotten worse again :(. Have rang the dental hospital as they originally said there was a stronger mouthwash option if we needed it. Hoping they’ll get back me tomorrow.

Had to put some petrol in the car today so I’m a bit worried that I’ve left us short now. Will keep a close eye on things until the mortgage is due on Tuesday. Got a major dose of perspective this afternoon though when I heard a lady win £10k on the radio. Bless her, she’d just lost her son to leukaemia and was going to use the money to pay off his funeral and get the memorial stone she really wanted for him. I was in floods! I may not have any money, but at least I have my boys, and I know which I’d rather have Xx

    How sad:( xx
One of my neighbours son died a couple of weeks ago.
Very sobering. He was my age & lived with his mum.

Boo to the partial seizure :(

If it's not one thing it's another :(

    Hope DH feels better soon.

  • Gawd you poor lady. I really am in awe of what some people on here have to go through on a daily basis. Mrs SA makes me chuckle with her stories about Mr SA but I can only imagine what it is like to be dealing with the aftermath of an accident as catastrophic as this every day. You guys really are angels. I am not sure how I would cope.

You cope because you have to Meowcom, but humour certainly gets you through. It’s not always easy though. I’ve just snapped at DH because I’m fed up of him complaining it’s cold and wanting the heating on. I suggest he puts a jumper on, he does for 5 minutes, declares he’s too hot, takes it off, then moans he’s cold and asks for the heating on. It’s like Groundhog Day. I know he’s not well today (after affects of partials, sore mouth, hay fever, upset tummy, the list goes on :(), but I’ve had the same loop going on since 9am this morning. I want to scream. I’m fed up Xx

Hi Lucky :) Really glad to read Oakley's paw is better and you didn't end up having to go the vet.

Sorry to hear about your DH having partial seizures. I can fully empathise with the frustration of him repeating himself. Hubby's mum had dementia and she'd ask the same thing over and over again like "where are the children" and she'd repeat it several times a minute. It used to make us feel knackered. Plus she she wanted an answer, so we'd spend the whole visit saying "at school" and those 2 sentences made up a visit of an hour or more  Used to feel like tearing my hair out at times. So although he can't help it, I know that doesn't make you feel any better about the situation and can understand why you're cheesed off.

You are marvellous coping with it all though. At least we could go home :( xx

A few weeks ago I went on a dementia awareness course for work. It was amazing how many of the symptoms mirrored those of a brain injury. You know I know how frustrating it is xx

  • Thanks both :A. I went out to a meeting at DS2’s future Middle School last night, and then met some of the Mums for coffee this morning. Feel like a real socialite and it took my mind off DH and boosted my mood. He’s better today anyway, but I also feel ready to cope again.

We are about £30 short for the mortgage on Tuesday :(.
