You've got a great MIL there Lucky
Brilliant to have another break to look forward to. You're chipping away at the list that's all you can do.

I got some extra uniform for about 50p a few months ago and it was in great condition.

Not a great deal to update. DH has had a few partial seizures the last few days and has had a lot of mood swings which aren’t easy.
Apart from that, I’ve listed a couple of things on eBay and redeemed another £5 Amazon voucher from Swagbucks. My Mum is on holiday at the moment so I’m feeding her cat. She left £30 to cover my petrol back and forth, but there’s no way it will cost that much so I will skim a bit off for other thingsXx

Hi Lucky
Sorry to read you're going through a patch of 1 step forward, 2 steps back
Excellent news about the car insurance and the holiday though :T And at least Oakley's grooming won't cost as much in the future.
I'm sure you'll pull something out of the hat for Christmas. Do you just buy for your own or do you buy for extended family as well? We cut right back with the DC's last year. They didn't really know what they wanted and we didn't really know what to buy them so I told them we wouldn't be spending for the sake of it. They didn't seem bothered tbh so the bar has been set nowxx

Love this quote, it's amazing!
Even more amazing was they genuinely weren't bothered when I said about not spending for the sake of it. I'm kicking myself because I bet I could have got away with it years ago. I sometimes think it's us parents that perpetuate certain ideals rather than DC's.:rotfl: xx

I think this is so true. Children often care less about how many presents they get than we do.Finally Debt Free After 34 Years, But Still Need to Live Frugally

Tea, I’ve cut right back on who I buy for. It’s my boys, MiL, Mum & partner, Sis & wife, my Grandma and my cousin’s sons. Up until now there’s also been a collection for DS2’s teacher, but that will stop now as he moves to Middle School in September.Even more amazing was they genuinely weren't bothered when I said about not spending for the sake of it. I am probably guilty of this. Even though I try to get bargains/win things and my Mum/MiL/Sis are great in getting them things off their lists, I definitely spend more than I should for the financial position we are in XxDebts @ LBM £23,729.31. Debts @ 08/04/2016 £0 :j

Well this week has passed in a blur of school open mornings, Summer Fairs, Epilepsy nurse (routine) appointment and a rather lovely afternoon out with my Sister and our Grandma :A. We now only have 3 weeks left until school breaks up :j.
Made a sale on eBay today (though still waiting for payment), which will clear about £8 profit after fees etc. I also have £2.40 to cash out on GreenJinn, and I’ve won £1.10 on the Topcashback Summer Treats. It all helps.
The weather has been amazing here the last couple of days so we are planning a picnic tomorrow. Hope everyone has a fab weekend Xx
