  • DH is 41 today! He has had a few funny turns the last few days where he just starts speaking gobbledegook and makes no sense at all. He’s had a partial seizure, but no full ones, since I got home from hospital :T.

Money wise, we just made it to yesterday thank goodness. DH has kindly put his birthday money into the pot, apart from paying for a takeaway, which is his choice of birthday treat later. Xx

  • Feeling much more human now beanie! More energy, hardly any pain, not feeling sick and more and not shivering/shaking any more .

Feeling rubbish in other ways though. Doctor told me I need to lose weight. I know I do, but it’s rotten when someone else tells you :(.

  • Went back to chub club yesterday and ‘only’ gained 2lbs in 5 weeks so nowhere near as bad as I thought. This week probably won’t be a great result as we still have birthday cake and chocolate etc in the house, but it’s a start and I’m going to try.

Yesterday was our 16th wedding anniversary. We didn’t do anything special but due to the kindness of our family members we are £60 up :T. Wasn’t expecting anything and I’m super pleased.

Iceland emailed to say they’d added £5 to my bonus card as they ‘missed’ me. Truth be told I have been shopping there sporadically, but had forgotten my bonus card on several occasions. Anyway, went and spent their free fiver with glee.

Today I’m taking DS2 and his pal for a free trampolining trip. A local park had a competition running but hadn’t announced the winner. I messaged them asking who won, and whilst it hadn’t been me they gave me 2 free tickets for pointing out their error :o Xx

  • Happy anniversary Lucky :). I hope DS enjoys the trampolining trip.

It's not nice being told you need to lose weight :( but you have been making some progress on it and ups and downs are inevitable.

Glad you're feeling better :) I agree with Beanie, break the weight loss down into mini goals and you'll get there in the end. Happy belated anniversary xx
I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)
  • Anyone got a money tree??

I really can’t get ahead. Every time I think I might be there, something else pops up. I have 47p in the bank and a list as long as my arm of things we need (or want in the boys’ case!).

Feeling a bit emotional and have had some tears tonight, believe it or not because I got the car insurance email renewal price through!! Feeling a bit of a failure :(
