please-let-me-be-lucky wrote: »DS1 came home and burst into tears after being told off at school. Apparently he didn't hear the teacher say to put everything down (he was talking ) and he was sent out of the class. According to him the teacher then 'forgot' about him for half an hour, so he didn't get to finish what he was making. It's really upset him but obviously I had to both comfort him and take the teacher's side. Yet more drama! I also used our 'chat' to ask about his bed time phobia though, and he said he gets bored when everyone is asleep?!?! No further forward with that one then!
DH has been having more waves of fear.
But I've done the monthly debt calculation and I'm in the £2k's :j:j
Morning Lucky,
Hope you had a better night last night.
Can't recall offhand DS's age (:o sorry) - but it took me a VERY long time before I got to the real reasons- my DS now 14 and it was only about 12-18 months ago he finally told me. For years he just said "I don't know". Maybe it had taken that long for him to realise it himself, or possibly just did not want to admit it to me. He is already a very man-ish boy, not giving away much until it all gets too much, then he bursts into tears like your DS did yesterday. Have often had the "keep it all in at school" then the minute the car door closes at school pick up time and he's safe from other eyes, he bursts into tears.
The " bored" sounds like my DS's " I don't know or don't want to tell" to me! Is he out of bed and wanting to be active or be with you at bedtime? or just not wanting you to be asleep? Boys are really difficult to understand! Have learnt that the hard way! My DS is afraid of being alone, but he would rather have his bedroom door closed (making him more alone!) for fear of who/what might walk in if the door is open while he's asleep!

I was about 19 before I stopped looking under the bed and in my wardrobe for gremlins/ghosts/murderers every night - I still can't sleep if there's a cupboard door or drawer open plus I slept with the radio and lamp on all night until I moved in with Mr SA (aged 24) so there's hope for your DS yet!
Hope tonight is a restful one for you xx

Lovely to read it was a calm night for DH Lucky. Gutted on the cold front though. Jelly & I are both down with it but I am walking wounded and she is really not herself.
Don't you just love this time of year? Big hugs as always xx

So many lovely visitors :T.
Ali-OK, great to have you with us and you are more than welcome re speedy payments. I don't think I sewed up that story about T@lkT@lk, but credit to them they applied £3 to my bill so I didn't miss out and I did indeed only pay what I should have paid in the first place :j. £3 is better in my pocket than in theirs!
I am absolutely poleaxed with this cold. It's definitely not flu (had that before, will forever know the difference -simply awful!), but it is a very heavy cold and it's wiped me out. On the positive though, DH is back to (for him) 'normal' and I lost 4lbs at Chub Club last night :j
We put the Christmas tree up this time yesterday as the boys had been begging for about a week. The house looks very festive now. I'm pleased we did it yesterday as I'm too tired today. My Sister was supposed to be coming over but I've put her off as I don't want her catching my germs and passing on to SIL with her heart troubles.
So, a cosy evening on the sofa watching a film with my boys I think! XxDebts @ LBM £23,729.31. Debts @ 08/04/2016 £0 :j
