DH is away out to the cinema with Best Mate, so I'm multitasking by watching Extreme Couponing, listing on eb@y and browsing MSE :D. Oh, and I've painted my nails too on a whim!

Mum gave me some of her old clothes to weigh in, so I added a few bits of my own to the pile and got £5.19. Sent the £5 to Bcard so the balance on there now is £305.

We appear to have a wasps nest in the chimney :(. We have had 5 wasps in the lounge today, and we figured out they are coming from where the fire used to be before it had to be removed when we got the new boiler. We've just had it covered by a bit of cardboard since Feb :o. So now we've sealed it with plastic and we will have to crack on with getting it fixed properly with a new surround.

DS1 found out today who his year 6 teacher and classmates will be and he is thrilled. So good to see him happy again :j. 2 more days of school left :T.

  • Today is a waves of fear day :(. Apparently it is also a verbal diarrhoea day as he hasn't stopped for breath!

Found 10p roadkill though, which made me way more happy than it should have :rotfl:.

  • Rubbish night's sleep due to Mr Lucky having myoclonic seizures and snoring all night. Still no TC seizure though which is good.

Used the time I was awake to work myself into a tizz about money :(. I'm really worried that I can't make it stretch to normal living costs+debt repayments+school holiday entertainment+everything else. I have no savings for Christmas this year either .

Weather is yackety this morning. Really hope it picks up for the next 7 weeks (and more!) so we can do lots of free stuff outdoors.

    Last day at school :j.

Money is a pain. Especially at the moment as everything seems to be more expensive. I think I would have a six week break from adding extra to debt repayment. Then you have a little extra for holiday entertainment. Every time I sell something at the moment I am putting the money into a savings account. It doesn't amount to much but it means that I have an extra little fund for gifts etc. Maybe you could do something like that for Christmas?

Been away and just caught up..... I am in awe of you and how you juggle so many balls in the air, keep smiling and ensure a happy home life

Sending you hugs, know exactly what you mean about being in a tizzy about money....

Remember you have been brilliant at managing money so you have all the skills.

You are a very creative young woman, your boys will remember the time spent with Mum and Dad not what you did with them....

Take each day as it comes, think about the days budget, bearing in mind overall goals, keep in the moment you don't know what's round the corner, and it may be blessings rather than curses xxxx

    Hugs BM
As a dear MSE friend says “keep plodding” or
What does the saying say.... When life hands you lemons, make lemonade
Or as my Mum would say, brush yourself down, tomorrow is another day or
Fake it, to you Make It

  • Thanks everyone :A. I know you are right that I should back off from extra debt repayments for a while, it's just hard when a) I'm so close to clearing everything, b) Bcard are now charging interest (estimated interest this month £6), and c) I know my Sister could do with what I owe her back towards her wedding. At the moment, everything I'm selling is going towards the debt, but I will try to split it between debt/family time/saving for Christmas from now.

There is just always something! Both boys need new trainers now and then school shoes for September. We need to see if our tv can be repaired or buy a new one if not, fix the fireplace and decorate DS1's room. DS2's swimming lessons, car tax and insurance have just been paid for, but it's DS1's birthday in September (and mine but that doesn't count!!), and then before you know it, it's Christmas again!

I'm sure it'll all be fine though *touches wood *.
