Robin, yes we are going to try GP over the summer. We may not need to increase the medication if we see some improvements. Thank you for the idea.

Very glad to hear DH's consultant is open to trying GP alongside allopathic meds - really hope you see positive results! :T

ps. Check out Turmeric Users Group on FB for recipes - oh yeah, and start with small doses (<< very important is the latter, especially if your house only has one loo for everyone's use!).
  • Oh dear, thanks for the heads (bottoms??:o) up Robin!

Yesterday was a NSD :T. Had a lazy morning (well the kids did, DH and I did jobs in the house!) and then went to the park after lunch. Work last night wasn't too busy either, so all in all a good day (if you don't count DH being Mr  for much of it).

  • Managed another unexpected NSD today :j. Went to a car show in town, which I knew was free, but MiL came too and paid our parking so no other costs involved. Took a bottle of water as usual so I didn't have to shell out for drinks either.

DS1 has been a royal pain in the a$$ today though and even reduced me to tears of frustration at one point. He is definitely becoming a teenager (at age 10!!) and I don't like it. It's like that Harry Enfield scene where a lovely sweet well mannered boy turns into Kevin the Teenager overnight :(.

Couple more bits sold on eb@y today, couple more didn't sell but have been relisted. Coming to the end of the pile I want to sell now though, the rest will sell better later on in the year (winter clothes etc). Will have to come up with something else to pay the rest of the debt up a bit quicker/ see us through the summer hols.

5 more school days left! Xx

Hey there Lucky! Sorry to hear you've got pre teen problems. Unfortunately we all go through it. That Harry Enfield sketch was so spot on. With mine - my son was ok until 15 and my daughter 13. Son turned into normal person a couple of years later and daughter is still the world's oldest teenager at 28. Well done on the NSD, as for me I spent 50p today!

Hi lucky sorry the teenage years are arriving a little early, if it makes you feel better my mum says we were all terrible teenagers until 15 and then we all grew up! But all started early... 10-11! so perhaps he is just an early teenager. Well done on getting through the tough week you did great, and another NSD! x

Well done on your two sales on 3Bay. I didn't sell any this week. We are thinking of going to Corbridge for their mid week boot sale this week. We have some boxes of things which haven't sold on 3 bay but might sell at a boot sale.

If DS 1 is starting his terrible teens now it will be finished earlier, as Bright spark says. My boys all started late. So while all my friends had Kevins I had charming articulate boys. Then later when they all had gorgeous charming young men I had three Kevin's.

  • Lol, sorry to hear about all your Kevins :rotfl:. Cheered me up a bit though!! He has been a bit of a prat tonight but not as bad as yesterday. Think he's ready for a break from school really so could just be that rather than hormones (clutching at straws!!).

Counsellor had to cancel our appointment for today so DH and I went to the gym instead. Didn't go to Clubbercise tonight either to save the £4, but will go on Thursday as we get more money tomorrow and Wednesday.

Huh, teenagers; We had one worryingly s*x-mad diva, one who slept through puberty, one who moved into a tent and only came out to eat enormous meals, one was an utter pain who delighted in being perverse, and the last was an angel* - they're all different!
    * We knew what we were doing by then. ;)

You could always threaten to sell DS1 to the mad dog-woman when she passes through - she'll need a handy dog-walker to replace DS4 - and if he doesn't behave himself she'll dump him somewhere in the midge-ridden highlands with a curmudgeonly old crofter!**:rotfl:
    ** Just joking!
  • Heh heh Robin, you can have him for free :p. Actually, he's come home today with a fantastic school report :A so he's back in the good books! It's all definitely hormones though, he has his first crush too. Bless!

DH is 26 weeks TC seizure free today :j:j:j. Never thought we'd get to 6 months but we have! Fingers crossed it continues.

Lost a pound at chub club. Was hoping for more but it will do. 2 more needed for my 3 and a half stone award.

In money news, I moved £5 of eb@y profit to Bcard and paid my Sister back £20 from what I owe her. She has her wedding to pay for in March, so I'm turning my attention towards paying her back next.
