Another one here who thinks you have most definitely NOT failed with money. You are great with money, budgeting and paying off debt despite Mr Lucky not working and having two little ones. You're doing really well money and weight loss wise and a shining example to us all
Bad news about the phone though. Nothing more annoying than paying out for repairs.
Have a fab week xI get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)0 -
Thanks all for your lovely comments. Spoke to the Counsellor today also about why I feel a failure, and she talked about me putting an immense amount of internal pressure on myself with such high standards. It's all starting to make sense.
Busy day. Sold a pair of shoes on eb@y so posted those and spent the profit on milk and cucumber!! Went to Counsellor followed by DS1's sports day and then rushed on to Consultant appt for DH. Consultant was running 2 hrs late. Couldn't afford to go get a coffee or anything so no spends there, but the extra long parking cost £3.90
.
Consultant suggested upping DH's new medication to try to combat the myoclonic and mini seizures, but we were collectively worried about his mood swings on increase. We decided that the start of the 7 week summer holidays was perhaps not the best time to invoke the snarling angry beast, so we will hold off on that until September.Debts @ LBM £23,729.31. DH was worryingly off balance/stumbling/slow yesterday, but seems more 'normal' today. Will keep an eye on him though.
Lost another 2lbs at chub club :j. DH lost a pound and is now 1 under target!
Sure I had more to report, but my mind has gone blank!!Debts @ LBM £23,729.31. Debts @ 08/04/2016 £0 :j

Did you mention the possibility of adding GP to DH's current meds instead of upping 'em?0 -

Evening all! Thank you Everyone who has dropped in over the last few days.
Robin, yes we are going to try GP over the summer. We may not need to increase the medication if we see some improvements. Thank you for the idea.
Satchmo, thanks for the heads up re Lidl. Sounds just the ticket. DH hasn't been sleeping too well recently so he may well have just been overtired. He got quite frazzled during the 2hr wait for the Consultant too, so it could all have contributed.
Tuna, thank you for the link. I've been extremely lucky in that MiL has paid to fix the phone screen for me. A local place did it for £50. I was going to have to leave it cracked for a while, but MiL rightly pointed out that I not only need it working for emergencies, but left cracked it could get worse and become a bigger more expensive problem. She is an angel!
Pooh/Sparky thank you for your kind words *blush*.
So we made it to today with a few pennies to spare! We aren't rich by any means but I've been able to replenish the fridge and cupboards a little and put some diesel in the car. We've also been to soft play for Family Fun Friday, though I had a voucher to get DS2 in for free after hosting his party there in January, so it wasn't too expensive.
Got the first Bcard statement today since the 0% ran out and I've been charged £1.41 interest, so not a fortune, though I've already paid it as I hate untidy balances. Just shows I shouldn't have skinted us desperately trying to pay it all off by 1st July!
