I have Nigella's book and can vouch for this recipe. I made it for my sister's birthday a couple of weeks ago and it was lovely.
I'm glad she made it on the TV show though as the recipe in the book just says to lightly whip the cream, so I didn't know how firm it should be and she gave that last night!0 -
Well i have just made it finally, only thing i never had was the lemon
. Hope it still tastes ok without it.
Its now fridging, will let you know what it tastes like later x0 -
I made it last night, had to buy a new springclip tin for it cos mine had broken... It was really yummy!
When I was a kid my dad used to get his company catering sized packets of Birds Cheesecake mix and we had them regularly - this tasted the same, only better as it has a fresher creamy taste. The lemon was an inspired addition and it definitely is enhanced by the icing sugar!
It made 8 slices with my tin. Leftovers still there for later!IAAR/IAAMM/MFTMFAQ/IOA6BH0 -
Sorry this is a bit late, and I've posted this link on another thread too, so sorry for repetition.

Higher fat desserts do freeze well. I've frozen cheesecakes very successfully in the past. I used to half-cut the cheesecake into portions ie cut into 10 slices, but don't cut the slices all the way through (I'm not explaining well!), so the cheesecake stays in once piece in the freezer, but it's easy to cut portions from it as you want them. The portions will then defrost much quicker than the whole cheesecake.0

Should be no problem - good idea to portion it - unless you are likely to munch it all in one go anyway!0

Hi
I agree it would be fine to freeze. I have frozen cheesecake in the past and it has been ok:jSealed Pot Challenge #6010
