Hi there,
Did you sign up for fibre or ADSL? I've just checked the offers we had on around mid-November and there was a cashback offer for the ADSL service. Fibre had 6 months free with no cashback.“Official Company Representative

I signed up in December 14 with PlusNet as they were advertising £2.50 a month plus line rental with £70 cashback.
When I did not receive cashback details I contacted them and I was informed that the promotion code that was input was not a cashback offer!
I filled in the details on the application form online.
I have made a complaint so let's see what happens.0 -

It was fibre as there was no indication that the offer was ADSL only. Had there been any indication I would have gone with BT and taken up their offer of cashback. So the information provided was misleading- great, thanks very much MSE. I'm now out of pocket.0 -
As i came from BT useing fibre i guess thats where some of the confusion is as after the line check it became a fibre offer ,But have an email from Plusnet saying the offer to me is free for 4 months then £14.99 so i think can see why there is so much confusion .0

I'm still waiting for my cheque, which seems to be delayed again but I'll certainly receive it by 16/02 according to their latest email. We shall see as it really hasn't been plain sailing switching -
- we had a series of texts/emails telling me I needed to supply a MAC yet when I spoke to real people I was told I didn't & they could do the switch without it - this went on for over a week & a few conversations when I was finally told that a "previous operative" hadn't processed my switch correctly.
- first router that was sent was faulty (took almost 2 hours to get to that stage, so a little frustrating but at least I still had my ancient router that works). Haven't got the time/will to try the replacement router yet.
- was promised faithfully that my old email address would run on free of charge as madasafish & plusnet are part of the same company, so absolutely no reason to back up all of my emails on my webmail account. Didn't happen & I lost all my emails (& yes, I did back up the most important ones, but didn't have time to do all the backing up before they closed it down with no warning).
- paid upfront for a year's line rental but my first monthly d/d took out another months rental
- queried this charge & was told it would be refunded....
- when it wasn't refunded I asked again only to be told that the "previous operative" didn't process the refund properly, & it would be back in my account within 10-14 working days (seems a bit of a long time to wait to me....)
- had a email with a survey to complete about my live chat session about the refund above but according to the site I've already done that survey (maybe they just don't want my feedback :rotfl:)
The broadband itself works fine, can't fault that (although we're not gamers or watchers of much online TV) - it's just the customer service that's a bit poor (even though they're all very pleasant & do try their best to help, it all seems a little vague....)
I am not expecting to see my cheque on time (but I'm a very cynical person)
& as for some happy ending I'd rather stay single & thin

I signed up on the 1st December for broadband and phone line with £75 cashback. It is now over two months later and I have still not received my cashback
Plusnet 'support' put my questions on hold for a week and then another week and then apparently considered the case closed.
I have had no cashback email, it's not in my spam folder nor any other folder, they were quick to take 12 months line rental but then break their promises and expect the customer to go away and accept being ripped off.
A few others on the plusnet 'support' forum are also apparently having difficulty getting anything out of them too.0 -
Who was the cash back from.
Do you have a link to this offer .0 -
It was direct with plusnet via their website0

@mm100
I'm chasing up the person dealing with this for you. He's going to respond again shortly.
@JustKeepSwimming
We're sending a number of cheques out on the 16th, so if yours is in that batch then you should receive it next week.“Official Company Representative
