Plusnet £75 Cashback via MSE link

In Martin's Cheap broadband article, there is a mention of £75 cashback by following the link provided by MSE "£75 cashback. Provided you've used the link above and not gone direct, you'll get a £75 cheque......"

However, as Plusnet are already giving £75 on their website (even if you go direct to them), does that mean £75 via MSE link is on top of £75 direct from Plusnet? I'm confused!!!

Can somebody from MSE confirm this please?

It means that MSE get some cashback for themselves while you get the £75 from Plusnet. Basically MSE is acting like a referrer or an affiliate like Quidco.

Well if that is the case then what is the advantage of going through MSE link? I can understand Quidco because you actually get something in form of additional cash back for going through them, but here MSE is giving you exactly same as what you can going direct.

Think of it as gifting the Quidco cashback to MSE.
  • Aw, poo. I've already been with plusnet for 6 months. I want my £75 too!

I've been using MSE for years and saved hundreds of pounds following Martin's advice, but I've to say I'm very disappointed this time. Because on this occasion it seems you make bigger saving by going through Quidco.

Yep very much so - in my case I'm getting £100 cashback from Quidco as well as the £75 from PlusNet.

Is it not just £10 cashback from quidco?

    Me too.

Line has gone active this morning on schedule. Quidco has an estimated payout date of 24 November so 4 weeks from ordering to getting the cash. Very quick.

Just waiting on the e-mail from Plusnet so I can request the £75 cheque.

Mine went live today too. A wee hiccup with Caller ID which seems to be sorted now.

Broadband has been a bit of a hit and miss so far. Fine for first hour, but on and off for a couple of hours. Hopefully it's settled down now. Speed slower than Sky and O2 but I'm assuming it's on DLM over next 10 days.

    How's yours doing?

Quidco payment noted as 28th November. No email as yet from PlusNet about £75 but early days yet and they have been good keeping me informed so far.
