.Is it worth just taking a breather from it all for a few days. It's not as though you've just been dealing with this - a few things have happened recently that I don't doubt have really affected you.
Trying to sort the practicalities and financials of a scooter, car, hoist etc. might just be too much at the moment.
I'm not saying totally forget about it, just give yourself a rest from thinking about it until you're feeling more on an even keel.
Having said that have you heard anything from the shop about the scooter? xx
That is a good idea tea but my brain is just not switching off.
I think the other thing is the basically it is all down to me.
No one else can really help as basically only I can make these decisions & deal with the practacalities xxI am a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on Mortgage Free Wannabe & Local Money Saving Scotland & Disability Money Matters. It's horrible when you can't switch off.
Are you chanting any time soon with your group? I know you always say you feel better for it and it helps to clear your head. Hope you manage to get a good nights sleep. xx 0 -
Thank you tea.

Just what I was thinking..... sending love and hugs.
Can you set aside some time today and chant on your own or together with others virtually through u tube ?

1.5K.
Blimey.
I think treat it like a job, as tho you were advising someone at the Food Bank, what would you say re the hoist (can anyone else fit it?) and the car etc.
Personally, I think you should 100% be able to get the scooter in the car and use it for days out or time away.
I think it would be a good reason to get in to debt even tho you shouldn't have to. It depresses me this system.
Big love XXXXNevertheless she persisted.0 -
Life is just pants sometimes Beanie. Just sending a virtual hug. Wish I could magic the £500 to you...January spends - £587.580

Morning Beanie
Hope you managed to switch off enough last night to get some sleep.
If you bought the scooter you want and had a hoist fitted how much would you have to find - I think you mentioned you could apply for a small amount to help you with costs.
Whatever the figure is do your finances make it feasible for you to put it on a CC and pay it off over the coming months without leaving you short in other areas?
It may not be the MSE way but for now I'd say getting this sorted and being able to get out and about far outweighs that. xx0 -
Thanks everyone.
I think the immediate priority has to be a ramp.
So that I can get it in & out of the house.
Pooky ~~ any ideas/suggestions on this?

Hi Beanie
Blimey, you seem to need to sort so much out
Hubby's Mum was in a wheelchair and needed a ramp. The council arranged for one to be delivered. It was some sort of fold up thing from memory but pretty sturdy - she was no lightweight bless her. Plus she was being pushed, she didn't have to get herself up it.
Not sure if that would have been the permanent solution or not but she ended up in care not long after so we were able to send it back. I know help for things is different in Scotland though. xx0 -
