    So glad your car is better than expected @beanielou! Good luck with no spend March. It seems so much longer than Feb - I suppose 3 days extra is almost half a week. It also depends on how the days fall; my grocery week starts on Mondays as that's when the veg box is delivered. So that's five weeks of groceries. Love Humdinger xx

    Good job on the fire. Not just future proofing but looking at it and knowing it is not working mean it was just there reminding you. Now you have a lovely space (well will eventually) that can hopefully eventually bring you a little bit of joy.

    Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became

    In the event the proverbial hits the fan then co-habitees are better stashing their cash than being mortgage free !!

    - When bought house £315,995 mortgage debt and end date at start = October 2039 - now £216,847
    - OPs to mortgage = £18,925 Estd. interest saved = £9,670 to date
    c. 16 months reduction in term
    Fixed rate 3.85% ends October 2030

    Read 31 books of target 52 in 2026 as @ 7th May.

    I’m glad the car is just what you need. Ds is looking atm and needs to place his order next month. He’s undecided what to get. His current one is electric and has all the toys but the deposit is a lot, lot more than he paid last time so he’s considering down grading.
    it makes sense to future proof the house. We never had any inclination to move and now it’s firmly on the agenda 🥴😯😀
