    What rules are you setting for the No spend March? A month is a good one, if you can do it then awesome and it got me thinking if I were to do a no spend March what it might look like for me.

    Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became

    In the event the proverbial hits the fan then co-habitees are better stashing their cash than being mortgage free !!

    Thats a really good question actually … 🤔
    I think for me it has to be:
    - no new clothes
    - Nothing for hobbies(I mean crafting here - this should be easy as I have tones of stuff)
    - no new books (make a list and look at again in April if I think I still want them)
    - no new-to-me cooking ingredients or interesting cookery books - I have plenty of both to be going on with and to work with - ditto the list for April.

    I would say nothing for gardening but I think at this time of year that’s unrealistic, so I will aim to stick to no more than £200 on gardening spend.

    - When bought house £315,995 mortgage debt and end date at start = October 2039 - now £216,847
    - OPs to mortgage = £18,925 Estd. interest saved = £9,670 to date
    c. 16 months reduction in term
    Fixed rate 3.85% ends October 2030

    Read 31 books of target 52 in 2026 as @ 7th May. 
    Produce tracker: £108 of £400 in 2026
