  • Yes I think it's a trip or a trick to make me think it's a trip lol! Well done on your eBay listings. I only have the re listings that did sell last Sunday. But will get back on it this Sunday and lost loads more.

Since my excell trial has finished and I've not got round to buying the package I have downloaded app to see my figures going down each month. I'm getting the excitement back!

    GG I like your thinking!

  • It's my day off today and I'm seeing a pattern. If I am working like I did recently four days in a row (2x8hr, 2x12.5hr) and I don't get a chance to get on MSE or check my online banking I lose the excitement. However if I'm off like today I read some diaries and check online banking, I get excited about the goals and how close we are to so many things! Im a simple lady who gets excited about simple things!

  • Works like that for me too. I try to write something very day to keep up the enthusiasm :-)
  • Pleased to hear I'm not alone with needing something to keep up the momentum.

Found an app because I don't have a spread sheet. It's quite exciting it's shows that since I took out the two years fixed in Oct/November I have knocked off two months on the term!

  • Yay! I need that app to add to my money saving app selection. What one are you using?
  • It's called 'mortgage payoff track'. Worth a little look, although it's nothing fancy.

  • Thanks very much. Gonna take a look right now!
  • So updated signature and now I've just remembered I have final part of my dentistry on Monday so it means the extension fund will be pillaged. We have £500 emergency fund which is brilliant for the first time ever we have savings (extension fund) and an emergency fund! We really are #winning! :rotfl:

Plans for today are fun. We have DH best friend and his gf coming over for dinner so I thought I would bake a fun cake today. I love baking, mine taste great but look average so I've asked for help. I'm spending the afternoon with my sisters whose baking taste great and looks amazing. We are going to make... http://www.thelittleloaf.com/2012/03/12/chocolate-caramel-layer-cake/ I will let you know if it is successful.

  • Made the Ombr! cake yesterday and it looked brilliant and was very well received. Sadly the icing in the recipe didn't set so I kept it back and warmed it and used it as a pouring sauce. I'm actually just about to have a little more now!

I thought I would treat DH to the an M&S meal deal for two. He is working lots of nights and over time at the moment because work is so busy. I keep fitting in little treats for him to keep spirits up because I know he doesn't enjoy the nights but feels obliged because his boss is really one of the best around and the business is expanding and can't employ new staff fast enough. He is working 6 days a week, long hours.

No real money saving to report. But I will go off and have a little think about my plan for the week.

  • Sounds like you both need a treat. We're having an at home buffet tonight. One of our sat night faves!
