Hello SuiDreams! Lovely to see you
I hope that life gets easier soon *hugs*
Sam4000 - it's good to see you! I thought you might have left forever. I found your post very interesting. The challenge has been full of ups and downs for me - a bumpy ride but I'm always happiest when I'm still posting hereI have sooooooo many things to use up but am focusing on enjoying what I have. Maybe you can see your latest buys as 'treasure' to keep you going over the long haul? Who knows? It's just nice to see you
Congratualtions Babafette for finishing your PP list! :T
I'm spending my spare time reading minimalism blogs (general minimalism and clothing challenges). I'm a maximalist by nature (:rotfl:) but I'm finding it interesting and helpful for keeping me away from all the pre-Christmas 'bargains'. I find this time of year difficult but then once I realised that the temptation is now spread from late Oct to January it seemed a little absurd and I've been able to resist the gift sets (for now). I have a Christmas sales wishlist that I'm hoping to stick to and that's helping me be patient as well.
I must add a THANK YOU to Dolly and Sundaysgirl for putting me off Philosophy skincareI've always been tempted to buy Hope In A Jar despite the pile of moisturisers that I have to use up

Hi SuiDreams
welcome back.
I have a UU - Tesco facewash, felt it was starting to splutterand when I cut the tube open it really was! Usually there's so much stuff still in it when it's spluttering!
WBA bought on offer and think it worked out about 70p:jLife is a coin, you can spend it anyway you wish, but you can only spend it once.
Go as far as you can see, and when you get there you'll see further.
Take time but don't waste time0 -
I must add a THANK YOU to Dolly and Sundaysgirl for putting me off Philosophy skincare
I've always been tempted to buy Hope In A Jar despite the pile of moisturisers that I have to use up
I must add, I love their Purity cleanser so I'm hoping it's just the moisturisers that are awful, as I'd quite like to try more of their skincare range!
I have UUs:
13/277. Sanctuary Mela Amla and Cardamom Shower Drench 250ml - WDBA (though it may have been discountinued as I got this on clearance) - smells divine and lathers really well. Happily I have another two left
14/278. Sanctuary Mande Lular Body Souffle 100ml - HG and WBA but lots more still in the stash - though it is going down, I bought 36 of these earlier in the year and have only (!) 15 left.

Woah, how did you manage that? Was it a glitch? I love that stuff too.
Kind of. They came as the triple moisture gift sets of 3 x 100ml BBs (which were last year's Christmas stock too - I tried to get them in the sales but they sold out really quickly) and were reduced around spring time, IIRC I paid £5 for each set instead of £10. I get through loads of BB and Sanctuary is my fave so figured it made sense to stock up (6 packs, so 18 pots) and save money over the year - rather than have to spend £10 each time I replaced with a large pot.
THEN, in summer they were further reduced to £3.60 for the set so I stocked up again (another 18!!) using points. Despite going a bit mad I do actually wish I'd bought more as I haven't gotten sick of the products and now will really begrudge paying full price when the time comes!MFW 2017 #123 2018: £1,852.64/£39,200 (4.7%)0 -

I have lots of the votives rather than the tarts. I have been burning a Christmas Eve votive and we've had tea lights and tapers burning in the windows. I have two Neom candles at the moment, one by the bed and one in the living room, but OH is burning a large glass jar YC Sandalwood and Vanilla in the bedroom most evenings which is just lovely. There's a YC outlet at Bridgend's MacArthur Glen and we go fairly regularly so tend to get a couple of candles on the way out.
Yes, there's no room for a child's aspirations or dreams in our house!!
If you are looking for Christmas votives look and see if you have a Co-Op Pharmacy nearby. The gift sets are quite a bit cheaper there. I got the set of 5 for £5.00 rather than £7.99 and the set of 12 for £16.99 rather than £22.99.
Sandalwood and Vanilla is MrM's favourite fragrance as well. I got the L'Occitane Amber and Santal because I liked this but it's not so nice as a fragrance for me rather than a room fragrance IYKWIM.
I also got three large jars from QVC this week which smell gorgeous: Cranberry Chutney, Carrot Cake and Peppermint Bark.I have a couple of ins
Orly No Chip Top Coat
China Glaze Nail Polish in Sci Fly
uSpicy 10 brush set - these are very similar to the Real Techniques ones but only £15.99 for this set in a really gorgeous gift box which opens like a drawer, it is a very comprehensive set of angled, flat and round brushes, 5 large and 5 small. I have tried out two this morning and they worked really well and are very soft.
I bought a Real Techniques dupe from Wilkos this week (eyeshadow brush) for £3.00 and it's fab.hieveryone wrote: »These are all amazing! Do you not like them?
I posted ages ago about doing swaps as it is a good way of getting rid of/trying new things!
Not sure if I'd have anything you'd like to swap with, but I'd definitely be up for that!
I do like them (apart from the milk bath) but have so many. To be honest I must try and put them on G**tree or local FB page for sale.Back for the No Buying Toiletries challenge. I pledge to only buy when I run out of a product that is not already in my stash no matter what wonderful emails land in in my Inbox or threads I read on MSE re: glitches!

I have a uu
Philosophy Hope in a Jar - WDNBA ever ever, I have 3 samples of this and it is vile, it is runny, it separates, it smells dreadful and it caused the mother of all breakouts in just 3 days, I am using each tube up as foot cream.
Do any of you ladies feel like getting tough with this challenge? I do. I can feel myself slipping back into old ways so I have made a PP list of 10 products (separate from my monthly PP list ) and when and only when those 10 are gone I can buy something else.
My list is as follows:
1. L'occitane Almond Shower Oil
2. Laura Mercier Creme Brulee Body Cream
3. No7 Dry Oil
4. No7 Bubble Bath
5. Avon Pur Blanca EDT
6. Elemis Lip Balm
7. Liz Earle C&P
8.Estee Lauder Bronze Goddess
9. Boots Mango Body Scrub
10. Avon SSS Creamy Body Wash
I have forgotten the last two so will add them in later. When I have used these up I can buy a small treat like a lipstick or eyeliner. If you are up for it anything you have already ordered doesn't count or freebies or gifts. Who's in???
I didn't get on with Hope in a Jar either. I've tried a few Philosophy skincare products in the past and none have worked for me. The cleanser was great at getting rid of the milia I had at the time but dried my skin out and I tried the eye cream which was nothing special given the price of it.
I'm feeling really weak a the moment cos of all the nice stuff in the shops and even though I haven't bought anything for myself for a while (barring the eyeshadow brush that I needed) I may cave this weekend and buy the Laura Geller TSV. Should try and curb the spending as in the last couple of days I've splurged on Olly Murs and Foo Fighter tickets. Ah, you can't take it with you!!Just found this thread again when looking round MSE. Just thought I'd pop in and say a quick HI. I was a member of this thread for a while (a couple of years ago) until Life went a bit wrong.
Have been comfort spending recently so starting to build up a make up stash again. I may rejoin in the New Year if you'll have me back?
Of course, all welcome. Especially in the New Year when we will all probably be inundated with more stash.Back for the No Buying Toiletries challenge. OMG, I've just realised I have actually used up an entire Project Pan list for the first time ever!
How exciting. :rotfl:
I've been updating my stash list this evening though and am feeling pretty overwhelmed again.
A drumroll for Babafette xHello all, I hope you don't mind me posting this as it's a bit off-topic but I am SOOOOOOOO excited, it's mad but blokie and I are celebrating 7 months together this weekend and I'm so happy about it! :j:j:j
And a fanfare for kadison too x
OK now I've caught up with you all I have two UUs to report:-
Elemis Lime Blossom Balancing Cleanser - have another in stash but using up the 2 x LE C&P (1 x Original and 1 x Special Edition) on the go first.
Lush Snowflake Soap. WNBA. Didn't have much fragrance although TBF I think it either came with the kit we got Emma for Christmas last year or I got it in the Jan sales.
Happy Friday everyone. No plans for the weekend as such.Back for the No Buying Toiletries challenge. I pledge to only buy when I run out of a product that is not already in my stash no matter what wonderful emails land in in my Inbox or threads I read on MSE re: glitches!
