Now I'm on to my hot toddy which just smells amazing and reminds me of another lush shower gel that used to smell of cinnamon (the name will come to me at some point!)

Have come to work and realised that I've put a tad too much blush on this morning on one cheek (the woe's of getting ready in the dark). Usually this wouldn't be a problem since I live in the basement, but today we have an event that I'm expected to go to. Will just try and hide it with my hair and blame it on the heating!

The shower is glogg I think.

I also have a habit of going to work with too much blush, I just use a tissue to take some off.

    Hi ladies,

Sundaysgirl - sad news about your Guinea pig. Hugs to you x.

Have a UU : Carex nail polish remover. HG product though I have 2 x full sized nail polish removers from other brands to use first.

MrM has ordered the Laura Geller TSV for me for Christmas and I am so excited. Can't wait to try all the new products on Christmas Day. He has also ordered Spackle for me too as I'm down to the last dregs of the Make Up Forever primer I'm using at the moment. I like this product but much prefer Spackle and think it gives my make up longer staying power. On Saturday I didn't use enough primer and my make up practically came off one side of my face.
Back for the No Buying Toiletries challenge. I pledge to only buy when I run out of a product that is not already in my stash no matter what wonderful emails land in in my Inbox or threads I read on MSE re: glitches!

Our weekend was marred by our remaining guinea pig dying on Friday (her companion died a month ago, very unexpectedly - though both were very old ladies and had health problems from birth - they were rescues). I'm heartbroken and keep starting to call her name as I walk into our living room before I remember :(
    .

We had two lovely very healthy piggies who both died of old age. GP health is very fragile so you did extremely well to get both girls to an old age. I hope you will get some other pigs in the future, perhaps also rescues? You are clearly giving top class care, there are pigs out there who need you.

I did the calling out the name and then realising thing with my dog that I rehomed in Germany as she was too old for quarantine and also with my cockatiel, it's horrible when the penny drops. Hugs.

When I go back to visit family I still think about getting Sadie (pooch) a treat. For the first year or so after she died I'd often find myself unconsciously about to buy treats for her when they were on offer before remembering. Crying in the dog food aisle of the supermarket is not what it's about.
New to this money saving lark. Any tips greatly received.

Sundaysgirl - sorry to hear about your guinea pig.

VALM - I fancy trying some Laura Geller but didn't bother with the TSV, the products I want to try are Spackle, Balance n Brighten, concealer and maybe the eyeshadows, as the set didn't include Spackle or concealer but did have lipstick, mascara, brushes etc which I have loads of it wasn't for me, maybe the next one will be more suitable. Feel Unique stock Laura Geller now btw.

Does anyone have any tips for good (cheap-ish?) foundation? I currently use the Mac mineralise moisture liquid one, but it's way too expensive for me to keep using & I don't wanna buy anything that isn't worth it. I don't know whether this is the right place to ask this?

Sundaysgirl - so sorry about your Guinea Pig, they are such cute and talkative little creatures, known in our family as Pinny Gigs after hearing an excited little girl at a small animal show, who was jumping up and down in excitement, say to her Mummy "quick, quick Mummy I can see the Pinny Gigs over there" As already said by others, I hope that you get some more, you are obviously ideal carers.:)

That is a tricky one, it might help if you post your skin type and colouring with perhaps the name/number of the one that you like:)

This thread discusses down shifting products, might be worth having a look to see if anything helpful there

    I have a UU finally!

Boots Coconut Shampoo. WMBA, although I think this is slightly drying my hair out.
