Sundaysgirl I'm sorry to hear about your guinea pig.
A UU - the Tesco facewash, WMBA, have opened a Tesco creamy face wash bought during the same offer. Really quite like this one, very pleasant scent and textureLife is a coin, you can spend it anyway you wish, but you can only spend it once.
Go as far as you can see, and when you get there you'll see further.

Hello everyone!
Well, I have had a fine old time stocking up on essentials these past few days.
But first, the OUT:
Tresemme Heat Defence Stylish Spray
And the INS:
3 x Tresemme Deap Cleansing Shampoo (900ml)
3 x Mitchum stick deodorants
3 x Dry Shampoo (Home Bargain own brand - it's good)
2 x Schwarzkopf Pro Styling Heat Protection Straightening Spray
That's a lot to be going on with, but that's me stocked up on the essentials for nearly a year, I guess.
All that buying shows that there are some disadvantages to getting to the bottom of your stash! Please call me 'Pickle'

The shower is glogg I think.
I also have a habit of going to work with too much blush, I just use a tissue to take some off.
Just remembered that it was Chai, one from way back in the day. Just realised that I've been using Lush products since I was 12. That was almost 16 years ago!Emergency Fund - £8572.39 / £10,000 :: Mortgage OP 2025 - £LISA 24/25 - £3200 / £4000 :: NSD 2025 - 2 / 150 :: Books Read: 1 / 52 :: Decluttering - 4 / 1000Engaged 9th December 2010 :: Married 29th October 2015 :: Bought a House 13th January 20170 -
I have a uu, this is the second from my list of 10 things which need to be finished before I can buy anything else.
L'occitane Almond Shower Oil - this is lovely but as I apply this type of product straight to my skin in the shower rather than on a puff I seem to go through a lot of it so not very :money:, there are other oils like this for less money which I would buy rather than this one, for example the No7 one and the Nivea one.Debt Free and now a saver, conscious consumer, low waste lifestyler

I really wish I had the willpower to not buy things. Since I've been doing this I've been buying more than ever before because I keep wanting all the beauty boxes!
ARGH.New to this money saving lark. Any tips greatly received.

Thanks ladies for the kind words, you are a lovely bunch. We will definitely have more rescue piggies in future, my DH is already asking when, but I'm not up to it just yet. Our two were real characters, such drama queens with their squeaking and always so happy to see me - I used to receive a very warm welcome arriving home
and I just can't imagine others living up to them.
mcculloch - sorry to hear of your losses. We have birds too and they bring us a lot of joy, they're massively underrated as pets!
Back OT, I have a UU:
17/281. L'Occitane Pivoine EDT 5ml - WNB, this was a freebie and a real LHJ, this tiny bottle has been in use since my honeymoon in April! Nice enough but other fragrances I prefer.MFW 2017 #123 2018: £1,852.64/£39,200 (4.7%)0 -
2 more UU over here:
Body Shop mango shower gel WBA. I use these as bubble bath and the scent is so nice.
David Jones cleanser WNBA. A friend of mine is a successful make-up artist in Australia. She came to visit a year or so ago and left behind some half-finished products she either couldn't fit in her bag or didn't want to bother taking home. This was one of them. It's a really nice cleanser and has a lovely scent but I don't think you can even get it over here.Aqua 0/1850 Cap.One 0/450 Vanquis 0/500 HSBC 0/100

Hi everyone, another couple of UU to add to the list:D
250ml SBC Facial Exfoliating Gel UU 25.11.14
150ml Superdrug Naturally Radiant HC Cleanser UU 24.11.14
I have 3 things left on my PP list, hopefully I will finish 2 of these in November, this would make it my best ever month for PP lists, time to begin thinking of the next one:D
I watched an OPI presentation on Q, there were 2 colours that I wanted from one very good value set, but as I do not need any of the other items for many months, I have decided it is more :money: to buy those singly, may not be so strong when the Leighton Denny one comes along though:(The best thing about the future is that it comes one day at a time. I thought I'd seen mention of a Toiletries Challenge on another thread many, many months ago - so hunted you down a few days ago
Since then I've been reading a few pages to get into the swing of the abbreviations
I did an inventory of my toiletries at the start of this month, and shocked even myself with some things - I didn't realise it was possible to have quite as many open shower gels, even taking into account the fact I acquired some that way!
Finances are getting very tight for me, so I've set myself a massive challenge to use up what I have stockpiled for all budget categories (toiletries, cleaning products and - especially - groceries..... yes I'm another who could easily be put in a 'hoarder' category). Hopefully this will help not just the budgets but also the living space available in the house :rotfl:
So far in November I've UU
shampoo x 1 (using another already opened one)
toothpaste x 1 (using another already opened one)
mouthwash x 1 (using a new one from stock - something I clearly went through a phase of buying but never used. WNBA when I exhaust my stocks)
astringent cleanser x 1 (using a new one from stock. an essential for me, but I swap brands regularly depending on price)
No INs to report
Unlikely to get anything for Christmas or my birthday (January) as most of the family know I don't use a lot.
I'll post a full list of what I've sorted through at the start of next month. I thought it would shock people, but think I've seen worse amongst the posts I've readThe only thing is I already know there'll be more to add to it as I sort through boxes and bags in an attempt to downsize *all* my belongings, as I know I have some bits I've not yet seen to put away properly.
I won't be including make up. I only ever wear it for special outings, and as they don't seem to crop up more than a couple of times a year I don't own / use very much, I don't even have a Christmas party this year, but I did have lunch out for my parents Golden Wedding in September - so just the one outing for 2014. As I've discovered in the past that this means some things are likely to have to be thrown away after just a couple of uses I only tend to buy cheap stuff from discount stores.
My aim is to get it down to "1 in use and 1 spare" of most things, but just "1 in use" of things that take an age to use (with a replacement being picked up when it's coming close to end of life) - but I expect it's going to take me more than just next year to get to that point
Already planning a once a month 'pamper night' to try and use up some stuff. I've given a load of bubble bath to DD and GDs (a few months ago), but still have a load (WNBA) and I can't remember the last time I had a bath(I much prefer a shower - get bored in the bath
) Plus I have a number of face masks from various sources to get through (almost certainly WNBA). So early each month I plan to have a bath and use a face mask plus pamper my tootsies (have foot scrubs/creams - WMBA depending on results as I do a lot of walking and have a lot of thick skin as a result), even though it'll mean having to clean the bathroom first! DS1 moved back in for 12 months almost 3 years ago, and he has sole use of that room (which he doesn't keep as clean as I'd like) while I have the en-suite. But he works nights (leaving home around 7:15pm), so I plan to have pamper night the first Monday or Thursday he's at work each month (shift pattern means a 2 week cycle).

Welcome cw18
This is a great place to hang around, everyone so kind and supportive when peeps are going through illness or difficulties as well as cheering along the UU's, I hope that you will keep popping in:D
A lot of us are here for the long haul:(, and some of us will never be completely cured, (points own finger at myself), but for most, making ourselves accountable and "shopping our stash" rather than buying new does slow us down in our purchasing:DThe best thing about the future is that it comes one day at a time.
