No Buying Unnecessary Toiletries November 2014

Other than things that arrive in emails from Gr0upon or W0wcher I don't get any emails in any way related to any kind of toiletries, so very easy for me to resist
Continued the stock take of all the toiletries I've found so far (still know I have more knocking around), and continue to shock myself. So far I can only think of two things I might have to buy before the end of next year, and I reckon I should have change from a fiver for those
Conditioner spluttered but didn't die this morning, so I think I'm done for the month with UU items. Not many, but it's the first time I've actually made a concerted attempt to do this so I'm happy enough. I think I'm going to start working through shower gels, shampoos and conditioners starting with those with least in, as that's going to be the quickest way to empty bottles and make some shelf / cupboard spaceCheryl0 -
VALM - I fancy trying some Laura Geller but didn't bother with the TSV, the products I want to try are Spackle, Balance n Brighten, concealer and maybe the eyeshadows, as the set didn't include Spackle or concealer but did have lipstick, mascara, brushes etc which I have loads of it wasn't for me, maybe the next one will be more suitable. Feel Unique stock Laura Geller now btw.
I love LG Spackle and Balance N Brighten. Have now UUed up the Make Up Forever primer altogether so will have to use the Elemis Flash Balm or Clinique foundation that I have. I used the foundation last week though and still don't like the feel of a liquid foundation on my skin
I also own Bronze N Brighten which I love using when I have a tan, various LG blushers which are lovely and various eyeshadows. I am trying to wear more eyeshadow and can't say that I have one that really wows me though. The last eyeshadow I remember really loving was a shimmery silvery grey one I had from Rimmel that I owed in my teens.
Am really looking forward to trying the highlighter, eyeliner and mascara in the kit. I do own one LG lipstick but am not that impressed. It's not very moisturising.
I know feelunique are selling LG now. It will be interesting to see how they compete with QVC though as QVC tend to sell things at good value. Saying that though I'm a member of the Get Geller Gorgeous group on fb and some people are complaining about the "value" of the TSV saying that the quantity of eyeshadow is smaller than usual (sold as a full size product!) and that the brush quality differs from other LG brushes. There has to be a way that the price is driven down though hasn't there?Sundaysgirl - so sorry about your Guinea Pig, they are such cute and talkative little creatures, known in our family as Pinny Gigs after hearing an excited little girl at a small animal show, who was jumping up and down in excitement, say to her Mummy "quick, quick Mummy I can see the Pinny Gigs over there" As already said by others, I hope that you get some more, you are obviously ideal carers.:)
This is so cute.Back for the No Buying Toiletries challenge. I pledge to only buy when I run out of a product that is not already in my stash no matter what wonderful emails land in in my Inbox or threads I read on MSE re: glitches!

I watched an OPI presentation on Q, there were 2 colours that I wanted from one very good value set, but as I do not need any of the other items for many months, I have decided it is more :money: to buy those singly, may not be so strong when the Leighton Denny one comes along though:(
Apparently I have too many bottles of nail lacquer and don't need anymore! So says MrM who found me cataloguing all my colours a few weeks ago. The bottles filled the desk in the box room! In a way he's right but I still get that little buzz every time a new OPI collection is released.
Have recently UUed a mini bottle of Sephora for OPI "I'm With Brad". As you can only buy this in the US and I felt I couldn't wait until next year when I am over there I looked online for a dupe and saw that Sinful Colours have one. Sadly though Sinful Colours has been discontinued in Boots - looks like this should be an all round message for me? That being said I am having a look at the QVC page for OPI. Which colours did you like?Is everyone resisting the black friday sales? I deleted loads of e-mails without looking, but have ordered a HG of LE Skin Tonic, 20% reduction, free P&P and they added a 30ml of C&P, it is for stock as I have half a bottle left, but I really love it:D
All the emails that I received only offered 10% off. Not really in the spirit of the US version of Black Friday, I thought.
Have been to Lowry Shopping Outlet today for the first time. Was not very impressed as it housed all the same sort of units ie lots of shops selling bedding, kitchenware and candles! Did buy a few items from Wax Lyrical and managed to pick up a copy of "Being Reem" by Joey Essex for Emma for Christmas from The Works which was a bargain. Got the hardback for a cheaper price than the paperback. We are going away for a few days this week to Carnforth and Lancaster so want to see what money I have left after there for more Christmas shopping. It's MrM's birthday on 4 December so need to get past that first.
Have another UU : LE C&P 100ml. Have more cleansers in stash so don't need to repurchase yet.
Did cave in and buy a copy of Glamour last night for the lacquer and will give to my friend for Christmas with the Leighton Denny crystal file and tube of L'occitane hand cream that I've already got her.Back for the No Buying Toiletries challenge. :rotfl: I only ever "play" with my nail polishes when OH is out:rotfl:
The ones I liked were:- My Voice is a Little Norse (glitter); Do You Have This Color in Stock-holm (blue-violet) Mainly because I loved the effect on AY's nails of these two together. They are presently in by *bay watch list at a good price, I will leave them there for a while, in case I loose interest:D I am much better at avoiding the impulse buys these days:D There is a LD TSV soon, but again there are too many items I do not want, so will probably just try and find any colours that really appeal.
Feel Unique and a lot of the other internet beauty stores seem to do a £10 off every now and then, so it is worth keeping an eye open for them to top up on HG's I think. The best thing about the future is that it comes one day at a time. (Abraham Lincoln)0 -
I got my BBB box today so I need to update my INs. I have a couple of UUs and a TA but I'll report them all tomorrow when I can be bothered to write the entire BBB list down. I'm really impressed with this box!New to this money saving lark. Any tips greatly received.

Good Morning .............. Thank you Babafette0

Morning ladies.
I have a uu
OPI Avoplex Oil - this seemed to work OK for my nails and cuticles, I have replaced it with an Avoplex to go, the last time I used it in this version it really dried out my cuticles which is weird seeing as it's the same stuff but in a tube.Debt Free and now a saver, conscious consumer, low waste lifestyler

Morning everyone, have 2 final uu for the month:
Benefit potent eye cream - got this free in a Birchbox and it was ok, did like the cooling sensation but not sure if it actually did anything for my eyes. Have another sample to use up next.
Aussie leave in conditioner - after moaning about this taking forever to use up it spluttered it's last yesterday. It did an ok job but I'm going to order the beauty protect one from Birchbox to use my reward points up and I did like the sample I had ages ago.

i have a few ins (blame boots 3 for 2 and the temptation to get extra for me) but not going to declare them just yet - going to leave the stash list as it is for december then re do it completely after Christmas as will have a lot of ins to declare then from the beauty advent calendars and gifts0

Hi everyone,
I'm away this weekend seeing my friend down South so my son is with his grandparents. So currently i'm sitting eating a bacon sandwich with a cup of tea watching Sunday brunch! Bliss!
This never happens...Dora the explorer is normally the best it gets on a Sunday morning lol
Plus we're going to Bicester village shortly so hopefully I wont spend too much
UU:
Aubrey calming cleanser - WNBA - didn't like the thickness of this, didn't do anything awful but didn't like it too much.
INS:
I've had my hair in a short tousled bob style so had to buy a tousled texturising spray so bought Leo Bancroft tousled spray. I'm really not sure what to think of my new hair, i'm struggling to style it and i'm just not convinced. Watch this space...
Clinique redness solutions cleanser and moisturiser - do love these products.
Chanel CC Cream - this is AMAZING. Goes on incredibly easily, no blending and gives a flawless dewy finish. Covers my redness all day and it's just perfect. Cost £43 which is definitely pricey, but for what it does I think it's worth every penny.
I got the above 3 products at the boots points event so got £24 worth of points so I was happy with that!
Hope everyone is having a lovely weekend xxx0
