Morning all, I have a UU:
12/276. Cussons Mum & Me Relax and Unwind Bath Soak 50ml - another one gone! Repurposed as shower gel for the gym and did the job just fine.
I have a small face cream cut open (always amazed at how much is left in the tube when you do this, even though it's impossible to squeeze any more out!) and a couple of other items are running low so hopeful of a few more UUs after the weekend.
I'm currently at 197 items so aiming for 47 more UUs before the end of the year... :eek:MFW 2017 #123 2018: £1,852.64/£39,200 (4.7%)0 -
I have a uu
Philosophy Hope in a Jar - WDNBA ever ever, I have 3 samples of this and it is vile, it is runny, it separates, it smells dreadful and it caused the mother of all breakouts in just 3 days, I am using each tube up as foot cream.
Do any of you ladies feel like getting tough with this challenge? I do. I can feel myself slipping back into old ways so I have made a PP list of 10 products (separate from my monthly PP list ) and when and only when those 10 are gone I can buy something else.
My list is as follows:
1. L'occitane Almond Shower Oil
2. Laura Mercier Creme Brulee Body Cream
3. No7 Dry Oil
4. No7 Bubble Bath
5. Avon Pur Blanca EDT
6. Elemis Lip Balm
7. Liz Earle C&P
8.Estee Lauder Bronze Goddess
9. Boots Mango Body Scrub
10. Avon SSS Creamy Body Wash
I have forgotten the last two so will add them in later. When I have used these up I can buy a small treat like a lipstick or eyeliner. If you are up for it anything you have already ordered doesn't count or freebies or gifts. Who's in???Debt Free and now a saver, conscious consumer, low waste lifestyler

Just found this thread again when looking round MSE. Just thought I'd pop in and say a quick HI. I was a member of this thread for a while (a couple of years ago) until Life went a bit wrong.
Have been comfort spending recently so starting to build up a make up stash again. I may rejoin in the New Year if you'll have me back?0 -
Dolly - sounds like a good idea, although I have been pretty good on the toiletries front, I resisted the Elemis TSV (almost caved, then realised that the cleanser was a new one and didn't want to risk it on my presently supersensitive skin), also Q have a great deal on LE Skin Repair (a saving of £16 over the LE price even after postage), but common sense prevailed as I have enough moisturisers until at least the end of next summer.
I really do need to curb my spending in most other areas of my life though, I would really like a couple of nights in a nice hotel with yummy food Jan/Feb time to break the winter up, but I would really need to save for it, if it comes out of savings, it is so hard to build it back up again. I have started a store cupboard and freezer inventory, and should not need to buy much for the garden until Spring.
To keep in the spirit of your challenge, I will make a list of necessary purchases that I for see needing in the next 3 months and keep it with me to help keep me on the straight and narrow.
SuiDreams, good to see you back again, but sorry that things have been difficult for you, why wait? just pop in as and when you have a minute:DThe best thing about the future is that it comes one day at a time. (Abraham Lincoln)0 -

I was really disapointed with Hope in a Jar, and the night version, for precisely the same reasons! All of the other Philosophy products I've tried are fabulous.
Count me in - I wasn't planning to buy anything anyway, but I'm in need of a bit of a push as feel like my stash isn't going down, I have lots of full-size (or larger) products on the go which I'm starting to get bored of, and there's too much temptation at this time of year! I'll come up with a PP for the rest of the year, but my main focus is to get my totals down to 150 - ideally would like to achieve this before the Christmas sales start... I have a few weekends away planned over the next month and plan to get through a number of sachets to give me a bit of a boost.MFW 2017 #123 2018: £1,852.64/£39,200 (4.7%)0 -

I finally have a use up: the 250ml Aussie 3 Minute Miracle Reconstructor spluttered its last yesterday evening! I would buy it, it smells nice and leaves my hair soft. I received it as part of a product trial in 2010 and still have another full sized one in the stash from the same product trial.Time may be a great healer, but it's a lousy beautician....0 -

Hello, I'm so sorry things haven't been good. I thought of you when I was in your area - if you are still there - as I've passed through it a few times fairly recently.
Please do come back now, and settle in before Christmas, there's a warm place for you.Erma Bombeck, American writer: "If I had my life to live over again... So adding to my stash, I have:
- Pro-Collagen Marine Cream 30ml x 2
- Pro-Radiance Cream Cleanser 200ml x 2
- Skin Nourishing Shower Cream 300ml x 2
- Skin Nourishing Body Cream 50ml x 2
- Jasmine and Rose Milk Bath 125ml x 2
- Jasmine and Rose Hand Cream 20ml x 2
Plus some little minis from Glossybox.
I'm ashamed!
I am the first permanent member of the naughty step.
I received 8 beauty boxes in the last 2 weeks and 2 orders off a forum, total around 50ish items. I won a face mask.
I do have a few other boxes on order but this will calm down.
I have GA and used up quiet a bit from recollection
2 eye creams one made my eyes run that everyone at work thought I was upset so that was TA, the other one I did not like so repurposed it as a foot cream.
2 Lancôme face creams, nice enough but WNBA
Lord of misrule bath bomb WDBA and ( I know really sad) they are bringing it out as a perfume so there is no hope for me, I have limited myself to 2 bottles.
a couple of bubble bars WBA always.
mango shower gel WNBA I have used this as bubble bath, shower gel, bathroom cleaner and clothes hand wash, I also used it to wash the windows.
2 Lancôme face serums WNBA contain alcohol and I try to avoid it.
2 hand creams WBA
GA 2 shower jellies as I did not like the scent.
BS coconut lotion spray WDNBA how I have loathed this item, I don;t think I have had a product that has lasted so long as this LHJ had nothing on it. I have used it most days in the morning and it has taken over 6 months to finish.
soap quiet a lot, honey I washed the kids, sunny citrus and orange jelly have all gone and a few other bits.
another 3 body butters, I have come to the conclusion that if I actually stopped buying them one day I will run out.
Face mask WBA
Oh I have actually graduated from whipped soaps as I have used one of those so I am down to my last one. I know a lot of you will not have clue what a whipped soap is but at least I have graduated from something.
A couple of sugar scrubs WBAlexbubbles wrote: »Have you tried the intensive foot rescue? Do you know how this compares? I have really awful thick clumps of dry skin that I've been trying to get rid of for years and no amount of moisturising and filing seems to be doing it
I do hope everyone is well. Keep smiling.0 -
Thank you for the welcome back messages. I would join the challenge again now but not sure I'm quite ready to give up the comfort buying yet. It will be easier to cut down after Christmas when I've had time to have a bit of a break and rest and caught up with things at home.
Yes, I'm still living in the same place mcculloch. It's actually starting to feel like home again, but still need to make more improvements.
Hope you are all well.0 -
OMG, I've just realised I have actually used up an entire Project Pan list for the first time ever!
How exciting. :rotfl:
I've been updating my stash list this evening though and am feeling pretty overwhelmed again.Time may be a great healer, but it's a lousy beautician....0
