I had a letter from TC's solicitors back in September saying they are expected court to "stay" my case, but havent had this 100% confirmed, have emailed my NWNF company this morning to ask if my case was/is "stayed". If it is, will post in your thread

Thanks, if you're case is stayed - your NWNF Company should now be pushing to get that stay lifted for you.

  • Thanks NoviceAngel had a letter from TC's solicitor (see post number 69 above). Seems TC's solicitors are informing me not my NWNF company. Im not moaning though, have to say my NWNF company have been useless through the process ..... hindsight .....;) but havent had an official letter to stay my case is "stayed" just said expected to be stayed as said above.
  • I have been refused a claim by Aer Lingus for a flight delay in April 2014:

Here is the relevant portion of their email reply on 14/11/14:

"Unfortunately, we cannot accede to your request for compensation payment in relation to the disruption of Aer Lingus flight EI021 on 6th April 2014. As previously advised the delay was the result of a technical issues with the aircraft which required unplanned maintenance and is considered extraordinary circumstances which were beyond the control of the airline. We are aware of the recent court decisions but cannot offer compensation on this occasion".

Is there any other action I can or should take at this point?

    Thank you, RJo

Yes, read Vauban's guide, write an NBA bringing to their attention the Huzar ruling, then start court action.
  • Hi
Can anyone tell me where I can find an old Monarch flight number - I believe I need this to make a claim. The date the flight was 20/11/07 to Mombassa - we had a 10 hour delay!
    Thanks

Out of date to make a claim I'm afraid to say.

    Hi Rachel London,

Sorry to say but you have crossed the 6 years period. It does not worth anymore.
