  • have you guys seen the Npower offer with a free vac with boiler cover?
  • Despite having a million plus members, and having run the biggest collective switch ever it says, the Cheap Energy Club amazingly does not have a telephone number. It does not have a postal address and the name of who to write to with complaints.

It can give you a contact at the supplier taking over your supply, but that is not what you want.

All over the forum are people who have taken out MSE deals and who want to know how to contact MSE with a complaint. They are ignored. There are also people posting who are pleased with their purchase and they tend to have a fawning, fairly instant answer from MSE staff saying how pleased MSE is when people are happy with their purchase.

    Two morals.

Post to say how pleased you are, MSE will reply on the forum, then reply with your real query. Probably will still be ignored but worth a try.

No telephone number, office address, named complaints manager, all part of the charade that this website isn't selling anything, it is an 'editorial' website which means it is not commercial which means that it has free access to valuable editorial channels and on to the general public, such as the BBC.

Well I wasn't expecting npower to come out with an even better deal !

End date is more sensible too.

The question is do you trust npower not to mess up the transfer or billing so you suffer the wrath of their computer system :)

Wrongly, as 99% of MSE'ers wouldn't stay on the standard tariff.

But never mind, as long as MSE has rung the till by duping you into switching via their website, they'll be happy.

To have a better idea of genuine savings, use www.energyhelpline.com instead of CEC and select 'standard results' over 'weighted results'.
Where is the option to select 'standard results'?
  • Where is the option to select 'standard results'?

Enter details of you fixed tariff, click to compare.

The page includes a line saying 'we've noticed you're on a capped tariff .... In red, underlined, it says 'Find out more by clicking here' - this takes you to the option to view savings with or without weighting.

Just received a welcome email from E-On.

    In the email:
Dual fuel discount £20 a year (inc VAT) - £10 for each fuel you have with us.

    On the MSE page:
Plus you get £30 dual fuel cashback

Anybody else have the same information? Can MSE Energy Club shed any light please? Maybe these are different things, but all of the other information (including Reward points) is in the mail and on the site.
    Thanks in advance,

    Steve V
