Katiecat sorry to hear life's thrown you such a wobbly; you're very welcome here.
Mr LW is now home, all in one piece - shaken but not stirred, as they say.:D They let him come away as soon as his procedure was done because I was picking him up; they'd have made him stay til the anaesthetic completely wore off if he'd been driving himself.
Good news - there's nothing sinister going on, hooray!:T
So - Challenge Update - we've got him through all his nasty horse-piddle tests (just his AAA scan on 18th Nov to go, but that's a routine thing because he's nearly 65) so now we just continue ensuring he takes his meds as directed and does his Wii Fit.:o
Flying-wise - I cleaned the bedroom and end room windows and the shower screen, and dusted the flat surfaces in every room bar the kitchen!
I have my nerve conduction test thingy tomorrow - oh joy! So please keep the posi-vibes coming.;)
If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -
Good news for Mr LW then
I am pleased. Everything crossed his AAA screening is clear too.. he's had a rough year with all these hospital visits, they'll b reserving him his own chair soon!
Katie.. he is a kn0b.. (((hugs))) Sometimes I wonder if we would be better eating our manfolk like a spider!
Looks like I'm heading for cold number 3.. I feel rotten again.. I am so incredibly tired despite having decluttered a nap and I have done nothing really, loaded DW once and 4xWM and 1xTD and hung out everything else in the warmish wind.. It's getting dark now so I need to bring it in and get dinner done.
2 girls schlumped off to KH's until tomorrow and DD2 posted my ebeast parcel.
DD1 has hospital appointment about now we (everyone but her) are just hoping they offer to induce her, she is a right sicky misbag! Can't say I blame her being miserable.. 8.5 months of vomiting constantly is enough to make even Tigger unhappy!!LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -
Hi all
Home with tired children and tired mummy! I am determined to get SOMEthing done tonight though - am just sitting down for a cuppa and then will start on the Flatpack Furniture of Doom - last piece of the jigsaw for our new bedroom. Luckily DH has cooked the dinner :A so that saves me lots of time.
Got the Tsco order done last night so menu planned and food arriving tomorrow, which is great - always saves MUCH time and money when I'm organised enough to do it! I've joined the Nov grocery challenge... I dread to think how we'll do!0 -
Afternoon all. I've just finished the paid stuff early as I had a late night yesterday and an early start today. Flying-wise I'm happy with what I've achieved in each room in the mornings over the last couple of days, so tomorrow I will do ironing before the paid stuff, and paperwork as it is payday on Thursday. Friday I get to spend with DH - yay.
Katie- hugs for you
LW - posivibes for tomorrow
Apart from popping a potato in the microwave and washing up, I am not doing any flying this evening. I've got reading to catch up on.
Have a great evening everyone.Spend less now, work less later.0 -
pleased to hear MrLW got through the procedure ok and got the OK hope the AAA test gets the all clear. posi vibes for you tomorrow LW.
pigpen hope DD1 gets the labour started soon so the sickness stops, that was the one part of pregnancy i dont miss. i was always ill for England and ended up lighter once id given birth than when i started out. (not a diet id recommend to other people)
just been round mils to sort her meds out as she said she was running low and needed more ordering. found a chemist bag stuffed under her coffee table with a full pack of each in it! she got enough for well over 6 more weeks. sorted out her diary for her while i was there so all her upcoming appts are written in and she knows where we are supposed to be and who we are seeing.
going to go and start tea now and get explorers uniform ironedSPC~12 ot 124

Welcome back to your rightful home among the listmakers, katiecat
 for Mr LW
LW, :T for your challenge, :T for your flying today, and more posivibes coming your way for tomorrow
Early baby vibes to your DD1, pigpen.
Just editing the remaining bits on my list...
- plant remaining bulbs (not just hyacinths) in the garden - back garden done but not front - or (in the case of the rockery miniatures) in small pots
[STRIKE]- clear the lawn of leaves[/STRIKE]
[STRIKE]- shake the dry soil off the begonias which I dug up last week and pack them away in a cardboard box[/STRIKE]
[STRIKE]- tidy the back porch[/STRIKE]
- sort the paperwork in the study this evening while DH is out
- make a phonecall ditto
I have also dug up the gladioli and put them in paper bags to dry off and store. Now I've run out of daylight  so I've had to come in. Meanwhile DH has solved one dodgy piece of track on his garden railway and caused another.
Saturday's leftover bolognese is going to be transformed into chilli con carne this evening, so I've only got to add chilli powder, beans and other veggies to bulk it out and cook some rice.
I have just found online my father's application in 1921 to join the Institute of Mechanical Engineers; it gives a lot of detail that I didn't know about his First World War service in tanks and it's all in his own handwriting
No news about my friend's op yet.0 -
Aww Katie, I am sorry to hear that
sending virtual hugs your way...
I've had a fairly productive day today and I'm happy with what I've achieved. I borrowed this from lynnejk's list (thanks lynne) as I don't have children and her version was perfect for me.
Tremendous Tuesday ~ the Land of Room of Doom!!
15 minutes...
[STRIKE]Clear the floor of clutter..[/STRIKE]
30 minutes to spare...
[STRIKE]Dust the shelves. cupboards, light fittings etc[/STRIKE]
[STRIKE]Wipe the paintwork.. skirtings door frames etc ...[/STRIKE]
Got an hour...
Find a bag of things you no longer need..
[STRIKE]Have a carrier bag and fill it with rubbish.. [/STRIKE]
I've also cleaned all of the upstairs windows and now they look sparkly and new (well almost) and I've ripped up loads of huge cardboard boxes and recycled them in the brown bin.
I think I'm going to chill out tonight and paint my nails as a little treat for all my hard work.
Looking forward to tomorrows challenge.

Hugs, spoons, sticks & vibes to all. I forgot to put that earlier
I've had a coffee to warm up, started the ironing got 3 hours into it and the blooming extension lead has overheated as I didn't uncoil it fullyI have hardly anything left but its all my stuff which is typical. So while that all cools down I'll go put what I've done away, and find some bits I'd bought for DD for Xmas but after careful consideration they can go back to Av0n. I just forgot about getting them out of hiding before now but they need to be boxed up ready for the delivery arriving tomorrow morning.
Then I best get some tea, I think the soup I made yesterday with some of the homemade bread. Then I'll get on with cleaning the livingroom if I've finished the ironing. See I know what needs doing....I just can't be bothered doing itCreeping back in for accountability after falling off the wagon in 2016.Need to get back to old style in modern ways, watching the pennies and getting stuff done!0 -
