Just catching up on the thread as at work atm and stopped for a cuppa :)

Hope Boddy's DGS2 and Jazzee's DD and their partners had good luck with their house-hunting :)

LW - Glad to hear your good news re Mr LW and sending lots of posi-vibes etc for you for the morrow :)

Honey Bear - well done on the fire guard - ;) Must admit I am the procrastinator when it comes to spending money

Pig pen - Sorry you've got the snuffles again and hope your DD1 'pops' soon :D

Katiecat - welcome on board and sorry about your now missing OH. Sending ((Hugs))

Lots of big ((HUGS)) Ionafan and hope you soon hear some good news fingers xd

    Not done much flying today.
Did some cooking, had my main meal and left dinner for OH ready for him to micro.
Made my pack-up and then - because I couldn't find something in the fridge - managed to knock over some sauce in a pot.

Finished up having the whole fridge out and giving it all a clean and tidy :rotfl: Well at least that's off the list now.

    Evening all,

Not much flying done here tonight. Sleep was elusive last night so paid stuff has been more taxing than usual. Did the weeks shop on the way home, and supergran has taken the children out for the afternoon, plus done some of our washing from the weekend! So it's not looking too traumatic here.

I did cook dinner and load DW after, plus get kids bags ready for school club tomorrow. Supergran will collect them after 4 as DD starts proper swimming lessons tomorrow, and we don't think she will get in the pool if I am there to cling to. DS said he will tell her where she needs to go and show her who the teacher is :A

I'll be doing paid stuff at home but don't need to do a long day (that was today, yawn) so will have some time for flying, we are still a bit cluttered from unpacking...

Katie - sorry things aren't so good at home (((hugs)))
LW - good luck for tomorrow

  • Evening everyone - looks like lots of hugs and support needed so I second what everyone else has said already, far more eloquently than I could. xx

Had a pleasant afternoon baking - double recipe of pumpkin seed and raisin flapjack , crunchy lemon drizzle cake and new recipe caramel apple cake. In between times I made Corned beef hash for tea - and also made the resolution never to be so stupid so as to try for GB Bake-off!!!! or to let DH's colleagues dictate when and what type of cake they want. You get what you're given next year!!!!!

Tried small piece of flapjack - still yummy -just got to keep my thieving paws off what is left before I take it to vol job 1 on Thursday!!

Now at computer trying to get further along with story 2 before I go to bed - have managed to fasten my " pet spider" Sam to my very dinky walking stick ( it was DS' when he did drama as a youngster)
Just shows you should never throw anything out - you never know when you might need it!!

Will catch up tomorrow - probably late afternoon so no more flying being done today or tomorrow for that matter - roll on November!

Take care and sleep well. xx

just watched robbie williams on the news prancing around the labour ward trying i presume to keep his wife's mind off her contractions. if Dh had done anything remotely like that anywhere near me while i was in labour i think he would have needed a Dr more than me!!

    :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Huge (((hugs))) KatieCat. Your OH might well realise after a short while that the grass wasn't greener on the other side, after all. In the meantime, welcome back and take good care of yourself.

Another load of Twinks with crystallised ginger are cooling, and we scoffed one of the cheese and onion quichy things made with the tough cheese biscuity dough. Rather scrumptious, so I'm glad we've got a couple more in the freezer.

I'm working my way through various storage areas in the house, clearing out crud that's never going to be used again. I've been finding myself moving things repeatedly to get at stuff I do use, and it dawned on me a little while ago that instead of putting those things back (only to be moved again at a later date) that I could just shift them straight down to the CS. They seem to be fine with me drip feeding them gibbley bits and pieces and it's a joy having clear space in drawers and cupboards.
    Better is good enough.

Tremendous Tuesday ~ the Land of Spare Oom and the Kids Room of Doom!!

No land of spare oom here :D, nor kids rooms so I've done a bit of catchy-up housework instead.
    • Dug out the steam-mop and did the bathroom floor
    • Descaled the kettle and shower-head, and
    • Cleaned the draining board and kitchen tap with Viakal again.
    • dusted the electricals in my bedroom.
    • did a towels wash, which is now drying on the airer, as our tumble dryer broke down and we haven't the cash to get it repaired at the moment :o

    That's about it for today.

Sending good vibes to those who need them. Hope your hospital visit goes ok LW.

    Hi all,
Katie- sorry to hear you are going through a rough time.
LW- I will be thinking about you tomorrow.
Sushi star- I will see you over in November soon. I am still in October until the bitter end!!
Today has seen very little flying. Went to Warwick castle for the day. It took us two hours each way as traffic wasn't great! Such a great place though. Never been before. Lots going on for Halloween! We had free sun tickets so just paid for ds1 (£21) as ds2 was free. Also paid car parking (£6) and £3 for a guide book. So £30 spent on a great day out. We took a picnic much to OH's disgust but to the excitement of my littlies! They love a picnic! It was like a summers day- beautiful! Anyway got back at 6.30pm. Had sneaky fish and chips for tea as it had been a long day! OH went out for a couple f hours so I did manage to clear the ironing pile but that was it for today. It will be a big one tomorrow as I am at home without the kids so I can crack on! Night night- see you in the morning!

17 pairs of shoes!!! A veritable Imelda!!!

The paperwork in the study is still not properly sorted, but I have defrosted the two freezers and reorganised the contents, done the ironing and made the one phonecall on my list.

I texted my friend's son to ask if he had rung the hospital and he texted back to say that she is OK - though I have no idea whether the investigation resulted in surgery - so I will ring her tomorrow. That message led to another 8 phonecalls, passing on the good news to the old wives. Hopefully we can all sleep better tonight.

Thanks for all the hugs that have kept me going through the day.
