Morning all. Another one here with fingers crossed that DD and her BF get the house that they want today too!
Going to just try and clean a bit in a few rooms downstairs today before an early start at the paid stuff. Need to fit in a dog walk too.
Have a great day everyone.Spend less now, work less later.0 -
Hi all. I'm enjoying the thread, but have not done much flying the last few days - lots of useful stuff, but nothing off the lists! Half term is all out of routine, that's what I'm blaming it on.
We're out today with friends, but I'm hoping we'll be home about 4pm - although I think we might all be exhausted by then! DH is cooking, and when we get home I will (attempt to) finish putting up our new furniture. Then I can get the enormous boxes out of the house!0 -
Morning lovelies
I managed a few bits off the list yesterday plus the dailies, im happy with that. Got a couple of houses today spread over from 9 till 2.30 so hoping to get a bit more done this avo, not kids rooms cos they do their own but I really, really need to mop the downstairs floors

Morning everyone - thoughts with Pigpen re Noel x. and to Mr LW.
Been up a while trying to get to grips with second spooky story - it is so long since I have written anything I am going off track! Must finish tonight as need to take for vetting tomorrow and then need to practise reading it out loud!! Weigh in this am and lots of baking pm so there won't be much flying in this household today. At least the washing and ironing is up to date!
Hugs sticks and spoons to anyone needing them. xJuly 16 £95/£200

Hi all - can I join in please? I've got the week off work so it feels like a good chance to try and get into some good habits.

Well done nicki on all your office flying.
Pigpen, I'm sorry to hear about Noel. Pets really are part of the family, aren't they?
Good luck to Jazee's DD and her BF for the house.
Posivibes to Mr LW and coping vibes to LW.
We have sunshine here today.
- SW from 9.00 to about 11.15 (we help with setting up and clearing away)
- dust/wipe/vacuum/polish spare bedroom downstairs, including the ensuite: this is tidy and only needs a quick whizz round - should be do-able before we go out
- dust/wipe/vacuum/polish study-bedroom: last night I picked up all the odd bits of paper up last night and stuffed them in a bag to sort laterbut at least I can now see my way around
- sort the hyacinths to plant in pots
- plant remaining bulbs (not just hyacinths) in the garden or (in the case of the rockery miniatures) in small pots ready for when DH has finally finished his layout - I may just need to sink the whole pot in the rockery for the first year
- if time, sunshine and energy remain, clear the lawn of leaves, as looking out on a green lawn rather than a brown one definitely helps my SAD (which kicked in with a vengeance as soon as the clocks changed)
- shake the dry soil off the begonias which I dug up last week and pack them away in a cardboard box
- tidy the utility and back porch (shouldn't take long - I'll clean it all another day)
- wash out the large oven rack soaking tray that has been used outside all summer as a temporary home for purchased plants in pots
- sort the paperwork in the study this evening while DH is out
- make a phonecall ditto (if I don't see the person concerned at SW)
My friend is having her diagnostic laparoscopy and possibly further surgery today, so I need to keep myself occupied or I shall succumb even further to the BD. DH is finding it difficult to express his support in ways that actually help me, but he has made me 2 good cups of tea this morning :A
I can still offer (((hugs))) and a few spoons to anyone who needs them more than I do, though reciprocal hugs would be greatly appreciated.0 -
Morning all,
I'm going to do my own list today, I don't have kids and my spare room is currently empty to get started decorating at the weekend so today's list doesn't fit with me.
I did complete almost all of my list from yesterday, the only thing that didn't get done was the 15 mins of paperwork. But I did add in a few extras by way of cleaning the downstairs loo and dusting/hoovering/moping the vestibule. I also fixed the door curtain I put up at the front door to prevent the drafts.
Today I need to;- Buy pritstick for...
- Finish the Turkey scrapbook (place not animal
)
- Tidy the kitchen
- Clean the kitchen
- Sweep and mop kitchen floor incl pantry
- Use up leftovers in fridge for tea
- Pack for weekend away
- Clear ironing pile
- Clear mending pile
Hope everyone has a fab day and stays warm and dry

Morning all
today I shall be mostly stripping the lounge...
have to say this sunny, warm weather suits decorating as I can have windows and doors open.Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily DickinsonJanice 1964-2016

Hugs and a bucket-full of sticks Ionafan, just in case they're needed. Always handy to have a few lying around.
We've finally managed to find a fireguard OH can cope with. Not having kids has meant we've never needed one in front of the coal-effect/real flame gas fire in the sitting room, but Mrs Dog skimmed past it when it was alight it so many times last year how we didn't have toasted dog is beyond me. We went looking yesterday and found a small one I could cope with and was affordable, but OH didn't like it. I get very tired of waiting for him to get on with things, and I knew this was going to be another of those tasks that got kicked into touch - until the dog went up in flames. So, this morning I told him I'd made the decision to go back to the shop, get the fireguard and we would use it until he found something he liked. Within 10 minutes he was on Ebay and had found something he wants, I'd bought it, paid for it and it'll be here Thursday.
