    morning all
thank you for the lists and the challenges updates and encouragements Natty Dusty and iona
i hope all are well or improving and life starts being kinder to some flyladies than it has recently.
last week was half term here so wasnt about or flying much so this week everyone is back to school and work so i need to roll my sleeves up and get on.

i dont do face book but would love to join the flylady card exchange again can someone pm me with a reminder of what i need to do please.

mils hospital visit was not brill last week it was confirmed in no uncertain terms that the radiotherapy is a 2 week course given just to control the symptoms and not a cure. the last treatment is today and as far as they are concerned no more will be offered future appt will be to monitor and manage symptoms pain and side effects.
it was hard to sit and listen to mil and DH being told this. obviously i understand the reasons they are giving but it doesnt make things any easier to bear. the hope is the therapy has zapped enough cells that it will take them a while to regroup so mil can get on with doing what she does and to enjoy her life. but she is obviously quite down and feeling dejected now the radiotherapy has upset her stomach and she looked so sad on sunday when we went round. thankfully weve had an appt letter from the gp re her fractured vertebra so hopefully we will be offered some more pain relief for her for that.

Make a list of just 5 things that you will achieve in October
get replacement fence fitted to give neighbours (and us) privacy back - booked work should start in november
get garden ready for winter - fence creosoted and all summer stuff in shed
knit another baby blanket - did a cowl and some prem hats for baby hospital instead
plant all tulip and daff bulbs
do a fair amount on celtic noel cross stitch. done a fair bit over the weekend
new cushion covers made for lounge 4/5done

Thanks for the list Natty :D

I'm going to try and be in, but I'll be working my own list to start with this week. I have paid stuff all day Wed & probably all day Thursday (Thursday evening I'm definitely working) and I want to run errands Friday while DD is with me so going to get as much done as possible done today and tomorrow while DD is away. ;)

Hugs, sticks, spoons, vibes to all :D

Clean any other glass like mirrors, pictures etc
Tidy shoes, coats and bags .. wash any that need washing in preparation for cold weather!! See if there are any that don't fit, past their best or just plain uncomfy which could leave the house!
Put up linings or winter curtains to keep out those draughts. Wash curtains/nets before putting away over winter.
    Clean phone handsets/bases.
    Extras:
    • Pick one or more of the following tasks –

    • Find somewhere/something different to go/do with the children this week as it’s half term. If you have no children why not do something different for yourself!!!!
    Deep Clean Challenge
Clean light fittings, skirtings even the ones behind furniture. Clean fire-surrounds. Wipe sofa's down. Clear as may hotspots as you can.. see if you can get it all into one pile instead of 15!!!

    Personal (Week)
    Buy ToT sweets
    Update/reconcile finances
Contact CC company who want to check "everything is still right for me"
Type up stuff in the "to do" folder
    Ironing mountain
Shredding (15min at a time or the shredder overheats :o)
    Clean kitchen
    Declutter cupboards
Buy box for cupboard, shop around for spice rack
    Clean bathroom
    Demould bathroom
Clean DD's bedroom (big sort out on Sunday with her)
    Winter blankets out for beds
Buy curtain rail for front door & put up for door curtain to go up
Find/wash/"install" draft excluders on livingroom doors
Do OC tasks (15min per day)
    Clean my bedroom
Sort charity piles out & next week arrange collection (they sometimes come the same day so want it all to go in one go if possible ;)).
Livingroom DIY : Put up DVD shelves, move DVDs from my room to livingroom, paint fire surround, find shorter screw for fire surround, pull out bookshelves and secure backs properly, touch up paintwork, shorten curtains (need to find my sewing machine), hang mirrors, sort picture frames for display (plan what sizes, how I'm going to arrange them, buy said frames from £land, sort photos to be printed), source new sofa cover as this one is now ripped beyond repair,
and many many more things :o

My laptop has decided that it needs to do another complete scan as the virus programme has just been updated to a new version so I can't do the typing or scanning I wanted to do  Instead I'm going to set the shredder up and start clearing some of this shredding. It is a BIG hotspot in the livingroom and I can't wait for it all to be gone ;)

That's me off for a 15min challenge
Creeping back in for accountability after falling off the wagon in 2016.
Need to get back to old style in modern ways, watching the pennies and getting stuff done!

Thank you. I took sushistar's advice and downed a couple of tablets, so although I woke up muzzy-headed, I feel a lot better now.

    Update my Toots list.
    [/LIST]

It's amazing what you can do when you carry your list round with you. I found a lego brick and a tree from the wooden village under one of the sofas - they must have been there since DGDs1+2 came for a day in the summer :rotfl: And I re-set and wound up the grandfather clock: nice to hear it ticking again :)

I am stopping for a very quick :coffee: and then need to empty the Dys0n and change the filter before doing the rest of the downstairs floors and up the stairs. Also I need to find some blut@ck to hold the door of the grandfather clock shut.

Anyone want to join me for another HHC from 11.15?

    Morning all,
Hope you don't mind but I need a kick up the bum with the house, it's been a while since I've been flying but I need to get back into it. Since there's just over 8 weeks will the C word now is a good time so the house can be back in best form for it.

Things have been hectic personally and at work and everythings kind of slumped. At the minute I don't have a lot of time so might post and run some days but I hope you won't take offence.

Hitting the gym after work but will aim to work on this list once I get home, don't think it's unachievable so fingers crossed!

    Hugs to anyone that needs

  • Morning all

Thanks for the lists this week Natty and Ionafan for the challenges.

    I'm in again this week.

Mrs M-P huge hugs for you, that news is devastating to hear when the doctors deliver it. I hope the radiotherapy has worked. Words seem pretty futile.

The back part of my jumper is complete, will start on the front tonight after the paid stuff and flying.

    Have a great week all
