  • Morning everyone - I'm sort of in - thanks for the lists Dusty and Natty.

Ionafan please leave me off the October Challenge list as I have the f word miserably!!!

Tree man coming today to lop our beautiful old silver birch tree - can't abide the ndns moaning about it taking their sunlight any longer - even if it is costing 200 squid!!

Busy week ahead - still got one more story to write for Halloween and cakes to bake for Wednesday.

Just got a load of washing on and two more to go then will start on today's list.

I have changed tack this week and will do what I can each day from the top down and then NOT carry it over - that became far too overwhelming.

Monday Mayhem ~ Living Room, Hall and Stairs

    15 minutes…
    Vacuum floors and sofas
    30 minutes to spare…
    Dusting, even if around everything
Remove clutter making sure stairs especially are safe
Clean TV, other electricals and cabinets
Water any thirsty plants, wipe their poor neglected leaves but don’t use polish!!!!
    Got an hour…
Wipe light switches, sockets (make sure they are not switched on!!) and any banisters.
Clean any other glass like mirrors, pictures etc
Tidy shoes, coats and bags .. wash any that need washing in preparation for cold weather!! See if there are any that don't fit, past their best or just plain uncomfy which could leave the house!
    Clean phone handsets/bases.
    Extras:

    • Pick one or more of the following tasks –
    • Paperwork clearance.. spend 15 minutes minimum sorting through those piles of paper.
    • Vacuum under furniture you can manage to move without hurting yourself
    • Clean a window or two.
    • Binbag dance.. Get a binbag.. fill it and bin it!!!
    • Ring someone you love, just to tell them you love them!!
    • Find somewhere/something different to go/do with the children this week as it’s half term. If you have no children why not do something different for yourself!!!!

    Deep Clean Challenge
Clean light fittings, skirtings even the ones behind furniture. Clean fire-surrounds. Wipe sofa's down. Clear as may hotspots as you can.. see if you can get it all into one pile instead of 15!!!

Have a great day everyone. x

I'm in but seem to have lost my guag today.
Hubby was supposed to be coming home tonight so I was on a mission to see what I could get done before he got back but then he came home yesterday dinner time instead (a long story). Got nothing done in the evening as we had some chill out time. (We don't get many nights together). But today the kids are asking what we are doing and I can't be a**ed to try and juggle everything.

So I am writing this list to give me some more motivation with the hope I can get a few bits done between doing things with the kids!

Ok, so all windows and mirrors/screens cleaned upstairs and in LR, washing on airer sorted out and put away, more washing on line and in machine, and downstairs hoovered. Just back from dog walk in the lovely warm sunshine. Paid stuff now.
Spend less now, work less later.

Flyladies don't fail, we just give our wings a rest ;)
I have changed tack this week and will do what I can each day from the top down and then NOT carry it over - that became far too overwhelming.

I am doing exactly the same. If it's gone, it doesn't need doing / I don't have it / realistically I don't have time to do it. DH is on the railway today so I'm out from midday doing my NT room guide job.

Vacuum floors and sofas - also kitchen and DR floors as DH has dropped mud off his shoes everywhere
    Dusting, even if around everything
[STRIKE] Remove clutter making sure stairs especially are safe[/STRIKE] - done as I walked back into the house after dropping DH off at the station
    Clean TV and other electricals
[STRIKE] Water any thirsty plants, wipe their poor neglected leaves but don’t use polish!!!![/STRIKE] - played tetris with my orchids after breakfast :D
Paperwork clearance.. spend 15 minutes minimum sorting through those piles of paper.
    [/LIST]

I also need to update my Toots list.

Almost ready for take-off - anyone care to join me in a HHC at 10.20?
