Ds1 has been an absolute dream this morning. He loves school so really misses the 'work' (he's 6). I had loads of half finished work books so I gave him three to finish and said he could get a prize when he had finished. It has kept him so occupied that I could get on and paint the bathroom! Ds2 has fallen asleep on the sofa so all quiet here!
Anyway, update.....
Monday Mayhem ~ Living Room, Hall and Stairs
15 minutes…
[STRIKE]Wm
Unload dw
Wash up
[/STRIKE]
30 minutes to spare…
Remove clutter making sure stairs especially are safe
Got an hour…
Wipe light switches, sockets (make sure they are not switched on!!) in all rooms that have been painted.
Wipe down all paintwork in finished rooms.
Extras:
[STRIKE]Paint the bathroom [/STRIKE]
Clean a window or two. (Study and ds1s room)
Binbag dance.. Get a binbag.. fill it and bin it!!!
Ring someone you love, just to tell them you love them!!
Find somewhere/something different to go/do with the children this week as it’s half term. If you have no children why not do something different for yourself!!!!
Deep Clean Challenge
Clear as may hotspots as you can.. see if you can get it all into one pile instead of 15!!!
Stairs next and then windows and then do something nice with the kids. I will get this house ready for Friday. Although we are out tomorrow visiting Warwick castle for the day so will get nothing done then!Grocery challenge-

Mrs MP I'm rubbish with words, so won't say anything, just (((HUGS))) for you, DH and MIL.Have also made a Date and Walnut loaf.
I'm pootling through my personal Flying list as best I can, bearing in mind that this week we have a horse-piddle appointment each, plus Samhain celebrations.
I'll do my Challenge Update later in the week, as tomorrow is directly relevant to it. Poor Mr LW has to go tomorrow afternoon for what they call a "flexible cytoscopy" so any spare posi-vibes aimed his way would be gratefully received.
If you really, really want to know what it is, highlight the whited out bit below:
Basically, they are going to shove a camera up into his willy, to check for anything untoward; he will be given anaesthetic beforehand (thankfully!!) and will be at the horse-piddle for at least two hours. This is happening due to him suddenly peeing blood on the evening of 20th Sept - that was when they hauled him into hospital when he thought he was going to just get given some anti-b's and sent home.
Not pleasant - I shall go along in order to bring the car home - no sense in paying for 2 or 3 hours parking when I can simply collect him later; he probably won't feel up to driving afterwards, in any case.:(If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -

Sorry to hear that Piggers.
Been down to the woodyard in an attempt to get cheap woodshavings. Apparently (for you 'pick your own') a dust mask must be worn. Now I have a dust mask, so that's not a problem. But I am wondering if I should return at all, given the asthma...
*winces at LW's post*

Hugs Mrs MP.
I should have left that whited out. *wince* (Just the thought of it, and I'm not a bloke.) Courage vibes for Mr LW.
I'm so sorry to hear about Noel, Pigpen. Is there any food he really, really loves?
Huge numbers of 100 ml boxes of cheese sauce chilling prior to freezing, and my feet ache. Thank goodness for sauce flour, I'd have gone mad trying to work my way through all that milk if I'd had to make a roux for each batch.
Dressing gown lining stuff will be happening after I've been into town with OH as he's old enough to get a discount at the herbal chemist's and I'm not. I love being a bimbo.Better is good enough.0 -
Honey - I make white/cheese sauces in MW. I put cornflour in, mix to a paste with a little milk, top up with milk, fling a knob of butter in, zap, stir, zap, stir and (as I read this week) vwa la :rotfl:
(for cheese sauce just add grated cheese;))Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily DickinsonJanice 1964-2016

Piggers I'm so sorry to hear about Noel; pain-free vibes for the time he has remaining, and a peaceful transition for him. It always saddens me to do palliative "healing", if healing is the right word, but I do it anyway.
I've managed to get a bit more crossed off my Flying list; been round and done the high areas in all the rooms with the duster-onna-stick and emptied all the waste bins into the main bin ready to put the bag out for dustbin day tomorrow; also put away a couple of little vases I had on my altar as the flowers that were in them are now gone, and done some more general tidying - found we had two half-bottles of plughole treatment (same sort) so they've been put into one.If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0
