Monday Mayhem ~ Living Room, Hall and Stairs

Just did the 15 minutes tasks (took me longer than 15 minutes!) and cleaned the mirrors and sorted the coats. Did the dreaded ironing this morning only for more to appear this evening now the washing's dry :undecided

I'm feeling so tired today, I didn't sleep well last night. It seems to have got warmer all of a sudden here!

Sorry to hear about people in hospital. (Ouch @ Mr LW! Hope it goes ok. I dread having anything wrong with my waterworks, NOT pleasant)

Can I just ask what 'sauce flour' is and where you get it ? and on the same theme what quantities etc for your mw sauce please Valli

If it's gone I've done it or don't have one

    Hi all

We are back from our busy weekend - exhausted and exhilerated. It's been non-stop and got the better of one or two little tempers at times, but lots of lovely memories made.

On getting home I was reminded how my downstairs floors looked like a farmyard, so I chucked the littlies out to swimming lessons and I've whizzed round with the vac and steam mop, and had a good unpack / tidy / rehome session. I've also washed our swim stuff but still have a couple of loads that need attending to.

I'll be needing an early night but sadly DD fell asleep in the car so she's currently being a crab on the LR floor. DS is well away and has been for an hour.

I'm working tomorrow and need to do a shop on the way home, but will squeeze in a flutter in the evening.

Mrs MP I'm really sorry to hear about MIL, I hope you can all make your peace with it, in time x

LW posivibes for the youknowwhat for DH (ouch) x

Pigpen sorry about the kitty, hope his time left with you is peaceful x

LynneJK: Sauce flour is exactly that - it's plain flour that's milled so that it thickens when boiled for three minutes with milk - no extra fat. Sainsbobs sells it, and I'm sure other supermarkets probably do, too.
    Better is good enough.

Today I got distracted by more office stuff. :o I have been through all the stationary, and I don't think I need to buy any more for quite a while as I have loads I didn't know I had. While I was at it I also went through all the CD/DVDs/pen drives for the computer and had a major flinging session. I managed to clear nearly 2 shelves by getting rid of old storage boxes which were scruffy & constantly coming apart. Then I sat and went through loads of my bookmarks, printing off recipes and then deleting things I didn't need any more ;)

This means tomorrow I really need to get a wiggle on to get the cleaning done :o Most important thing there will be not sitting down to do admin first thing :rotfl: Right now though I think I'm going to do a batch of dishes and then head to bed.

Lynne - sorry it's one of my 'off piste' recipes - about a tablesspoon of flour with a little slug of milk, a bit more milk then a knob of butter...salt and pepper...

the 'only' rule is zap for a minute (max) stir and repeat until thick...

I have scraped off about a third of the paper. I was so knackered I have had a nap BUT it was around a window so a fiddly bit...

Sorry to hear about noël, pigpen. My thoughts are with you. We have a brother and a sister who we have had for 10 years and about three weeks ago out little girl didn't come home. Ds1 talks about her all the time and says a prayer for every night. We just hope she is with another family somewhere. It's hard though as pets become part of the family. Anyway, I am thinking about you are your little ones x x x

I got distracted today. After I painted the bathroom, I tidied everything away and then thought I might as well Declutter and clean it! Wiped down all the paintwork, sockets and everything. It s now beautiful! Just need to paint the ceiling, where I had filled a massive crack!! At 3pm I decided to take the kids to toysrus so. Ds1 could exchange his duplicated present. I hate that place. My son is so indecisive, we were in there over an hour! I did have an 'ahhhhh' moment when ds1 wanted two little matchbox cars to take it up to the total. When we got to the car aisle, he asked ds2 to choose one as he wanted to get him one as he didn't have anything! Bless!

Thanks a million for that - I'll have a look on-line and see what I can find. It would be great as sauces are one of my weaknesses and I am trying to cut down on the fat a bit :D
