Well I've just logged on here for the first time in ages and just had a look back at my blog.
A lot has gone on!
A month after my last post I separated from husband my decision and went into a deep depression. Got myself help on anti depressants and went for councelling and when I was well enough started divorce proceedings early this year.
I managed to get myself a well paid job last June and moved out in August renting a flat but I'm still going through the divorce.
It wasn't easy still isn't still suffering from anxiety and in further debt.
So all I can do is look forward.16/10/2016 £9176.11 paid off 13/01/2017

This week has been a bad week where I have obsessively focused on hubby wrong doings and the divorce.
He has tried to move his girlfriend into our house. Plus whilst working in my second job (I'm a checkout operator for M) one of his work colleagues seemed to want to stir trouble by telling me she knew everything that was going on with the divorce. So hubby got a piece of my mind but he just ignored me.
This has effected me greatly and I've had to take time off from both jobs Unpaid to sort myself out.
So I need to stop focusing on what he is doing and start focusing on me and start sorting my life out.
I'm totally unmotivated at the moment. I'm full of cold which doesn't help.
My list for today
Get out of bed and have a shower
Pop into town and get a few essentials
Hit target on SB and cash out £5.
Update signature with all debts
Try and organise flat somehow but don't know where to start.
My mind is all disorganised and so is my life. Need to get my life back on track!16/10/2016 £9176.11 paid off 13/01/2017

Hi Woodster
Make sure you take some time out just for yourself, read a book, have a bath or go for walk. You come firstGOAL 30th November 2017 - 100% paid off, 0% debt left

Thanks FinallyDebtfree2017.
Been vegging on the couch watching the box and catching up on my programmes.
Went to town and spent £9 on the essentials. Hit my target on swagbugs. Done a bit of cleaning and some washing.
I have decided to take the next 6 months to sort myself out. The only way is up! Keep chipping away at the debts and see where I'm at. My main goal is to get myself a place of my own within the next 12 months. Not sure if it'll be possible.

Usually the one with the highest interest rate (You've not listed apart from the 0% one).Woodster76 wrote: »Here is a breakdown of my debts -

Thought I had DomRavioli! Doh! Off the top of my head it was £1000 loan.
So whilst I've been lying in bed these last couple of hrs the thoughts in my head are
A) I'm probably paying about £100 in interest per month on the total debt.
I have another credit card with £180ish on that I hadn't included taking the total up to £9176.11
C) I need to get my car serviced asap so I won't be able to make any extra payments until I know how much that is going to cost me!
D) Settlement from the divorce - should I use some of this to pay off my debts? I won't incur interest payments and just quickly aim to pay back what I took out of the settlement. Not sure when it'll come through tho!
E) I need to make a budget of my incomings & outgoings.
F) Try to do a food budget
G) as I've already paid 6months rent in advance hence the two loans. Because my job is fixed term (up to 2 yrs) and renewed every 6 months (I hope due November) I had to pay 6 months in adv to secure the flat. I should use the £400pm I would have paid in rent to off set the loans.
H) I need savings for the unexpected things!
I) Christmas is round the corner!
Urrrchh- I think I need to take one debt at a time! The £784.38 loan or the two lowest credit cards so I can tell the banks where to stick their credit cards!16/10/2016 £9176.11 paid off 13/01/2017

Feeling rough with this cold today. Didn't get much sleep. So don't think I'll be leaving the flat or doing much else.16/10/2016 £9176.11 paid off 13/01/2017

The anxiety took hold of me yesterday. I got ready for work as normal but then a horrible feeling of I can't do this came over me. Can't walk out the door, can't face my work colleagues, can't face are you ok?
Retreated back to bed cried my eyes out and fell asleep. Woke up to a text from my manager to ask if everything was OK he was concerned.
I felt stupid. Explained everything. He said no one was talking about me. He gave me a helpline no for someone to talk to said he was happy to meet me in the car park next time and walk with me to the office.
So this morning little steps. I know the longer I leave it the worse it'll get. Can't let anxiety beat me. I need to get myself back into a routine and hopefully the little black clouds of doubt will lift in the next few days.16/10/2016 £9176.11 paid off 13/01/2017

I would tackle the largest credit card first which is charging you around £30 per month in interest. I am guessing that is a higher interest rate than the loans. The smaller credit card which is 0% at the moment. What does that go to in November?
