Another £28.00 transferred towards debt. £7771.32 still to pay.

High five back Debtfree2018! Nice to pay some more debt off but still a very long way to go.

Getting over my cold slowly. I just couldn't breathe Mon and Tues. but was back in work yesterday. Wasn't happy with the car yesterday - it hasn't been the same since it went to the garage after the engine warning light came on. I don't think it's worth taking it back for more money to be spent on it when I know it's going to fail the MOT in April due to the rust and a few holes that have appeared in the bodywork.

I've been looking for something cheap and cheerful online but there's nothing about of interest. Looking into short term loans which will mean more debt. Just getting me down. And it's all my own doing.

  • Still not feeling good. Throat feels roar and painful. The cold still hanging about plus I've given it to a Hubby.

Doing a couple of extra hrs next week in my second job. I'll be able to put the extra cash towards the debts.

Hubby wants us to go away for a few days, somewhere down south, give us both something to look forward to. He said he'd pay for all of it. I'll need to save some spending money.
Not much else going on. Just want to hibernate.

Hope no one was affected by the strong winds.

  • Just been to the hairdresser for a long overdue cut. Due to my anxiety last year some of my hair fell out, not clumps but you can tell now that it's growing back. Just short hair stick up from the parting.

Started smoking again. Just the going to the main job fills me with dread. They've changed my job again. No training. Or I can call someone from another site and ask their advise. I have to deal with complaints from customers and they are so petty sometimes. Feel like telling them to get a life. And they've changed my start time to a later time on mon & Tuesday tho told em I can't start later on wed and Friday due to the start times on my second job.

Start my second job in a couple of hrs and working til 9 so a few extra hrs paid there. Dreading it. But got to think about the money.

No payments towards the debts this week. Money going thru my fingers this week. I did buy some food to make a batch of chilli con carne. I needed petrol and money for my haircut so a good £80 spent this week. I do try and limit myself £50pw and whatever left goes into the sealed pot challenge. Try and reign it in next week.

Hope everyone's ok. Still chilly and windy.

I do love my second job - just wasn't looking forward to doing 7 hrs that day.

Just a little catch up from last week. Been told by main job that there is now a full time job going in admin and I can apply. That will be my old job that got turned to part time that caused my anxiety. My old job that I stated that needed a full time person to do it last year. The one that is now being done by two part timers now. They are applying too as well as a weekend admin girl. So I'm applying. I don't want it quite happy with my other part time job and getting use to my new position in my main job. Feelings are a bit mixed I'm angry, and need to have a good think if it's worth it. No idea when test and chat with new manager will be. Maybe next week.

A couple of extra hrs in second job this week. I'm going to ask if more hours are available over the next few weeks.

Another payment made this morning £47.32. Another £7724.00 to pay.

    Payday tomorrow. :T

  • Nothing much has happened this week. I've had some sort of virus and haven't been in work all week. I have never felt so weak so tired, uninterested in anything and so depressed. Far too much time thinking.

Not spent anything but then again I've not earnt anything.

When I'm feeling a little stronger I'll get cracking on with paying the debts.

    Hope everyone is keeping well.

  • Another £200.00 paid off my debts! That's £7524.00 outstanding to pay. Hopefully I'll be able to pay some small amount before pay day in 2 weeks. Would like to pay another £100.00 before then.

Been back in work, still feeling tired and not fully recovered. I will go on and think about the money. 6 hrs today and another 10 hrs tomorrow. Feels like I'm in work more than I'm at home. Hey ho!

    Hope everyone keeping warm.

  • Yey another £100.00 paid off today. £7424.00 o/s. Still a long way to go.

I'm trying to give up smoking again. I'm on day 2 today. I've set up a new thread re my non smoking journey. So far there has been a lot of support and advice. Hopefully this will keep me focused.

Work at 2 so I'm just relaxing.

Well I've been given the boot by one of my employers. The one that causes my anxiety. Mixed feelings about being given the boot. The job was getting me down. Received a settlement agreement yesterday no more job. This is a big blow to getting my debts paid off quickly.

At least I still have my other job. I've been doing lots of hours for them which is why I haven't been on here for a while. But can't rely that this will be a case over the next few weeks/months. So I will need to seek out another job.

The settlement is two months wage. If I don't sign then I won't get it and will have to go through the redundancy process. As I've only been there less than two years I don't have a leg to stand on if I go through a tribrunial for unfair dismissal.

Luckily OH works for a solicitors and hoping someone can look at the settlement and advice me from there.

    Onwards and upwards.

Hi Woodster, I'm quite new to the board and haven't seen your thread before. Just wanted to say sorry for the loss of your nan and your dog.

One thing that struck me though is that you and your husband seem to keep very separate finances, you even mentioned that you have to pay him back if he lends you money! If he's working and you're struggling, would combining your finances more and him supporting you more with his wages be something you could discuss?

I'm sorry if that's too personal, feel free to ignore, but it really jumped out at me.
