  • Have you been able to get any treatment for your anxiety? If you're struggling with NHS waiting times for therapy, there's a charity called Anxiety UK who provide means tested reduced price therapy with only a two week waiting lists at most. I'm not affiliated with them in any way, I just thought they might be of use. I'm in the process of organising to have treatment with them myself and they've been very helpful so far. They answered my e-mail in under 5 mins. Then again, with your boss leaving, maybe you'll be lucky and your mental health will go back to normal. I just thought I should mention it though as I know from experience that anxiety caused by a bad boss can linger long beyond your time working with them. I hope it's not the case for you though.

Thank you ghostmadlittlemiss for your advice. I suffer from anxiety and depression from time to time. Having seen my medical report I've suffered 4 episodes over the last 14 years. Other times I've been able to work through it by myself. I did get some sort if counselling from my previous employers who had on site occupational health staff. She was brilliant. Drew a circle (think that was suppose to be picture of my mind) and asked me what was worrying me, and boy there was a lot. She spoke through every anxiety I had and gave me her advice that I should not worry about other people think as I'm only human. I will have a look at the Anxiety UK site now.

I am feeling a lot more positive. ;)

  • This morning has not been a productive one. One poochy not a happy pooch. She wouldn't get up for her walk this morning. She eventually went to please hubby. She came back and only ate half her breakfast. She's spent most of the morning in her bed and I gave her her dinner as normal at mid day. She wouldn't eat it. She's not been sick and doing her toilets as normal. She is a 14 year old border collie and she had her spleen taken out 15 months ago as it had tumours. We were advised to give her small regular meals when she was recovering and we haven't broken that habit. She's usually waiting by her bowl when she hears her dinners being dished out. Maybe she's got an infection so I'll just let her rest and keep her warm. See if there is any improvement tomorrow before we take her to the vets.

Been to get my induction pack from my new job. There was a £5 voucher in the pack. Thank you. Shall put that towards the Xmas food shopping.

Been on Swagbugs this morning and got 7sb for searching my tracking of the boxes full of cd's, games, dvd's and books I sent to various businesses. They've received the boxes. Just waiting for the cheques to arrive here. Plus I got another 500sbs for signing up for an app. Thank you.

  • Having a horrible horrible weekend. The pooch went to the vets yesterday but I couldn't be with her as I had my induction. Poor love has suspected lymphoma as all her glands are up. Blood test taken just waiting for results.

Then my Nana passed away early this morning. She had Alzheimer's and fell ill very quickly yesterday at the home. Mum in bits. She planned to see her today now feels she should have gone yesterday after work. Off to see mum in a bit. Nana been taken to the hospital for a post mortem as it has been treated by the police as a sudden death. So mum can't see her until post mortem has been done.

  • Hi,Woodster,
I am sorry for your loss.

It sounds like you have had alot going on.I hope now that you have the second job,and are back at your "main" job (minus awful boss :)),things start settling down for you.
Do you really think you need a third job? That sounds very stressful. And with the tax on second/third jobs,is it worth it for the stress?
I have subscribed, and look forward to cheering you along your debt-free journey :T:T.

Thanks Debtfree for your kind words. Been to see mum and she's very tired. She feels very stressed and anxious as she not able to arrange anything with her brother and sister, until Nana's body released. She's got my Dad with her so she's not alone.

There for a couple of hours catching up, she's happy I've got a new job and that the boss from the main job will be going. Keeps asking questions about the pooch who she loves dearly.

Still hasn't hit me yet. This will probably happen at the cremation.

  • Hi, sorry to hear your troubles, these things tend to all happen at once dont they?

Like you I have suffered on and off with anxiety for years, I manage it myself now and its not easy but I know when its starting to flare up and can sort of keep a lid on it.

Our debts are quite scary, although we can afford to overpay and are steadily chipping away at them - and I am working 2 part time jobs to try and pay off as much as I can. I sometimes think doing 2 part time jobs is harder than 1 full time one though, although there are benefits.

Just take care of yourself. I have been ill just lately trying to be superwoman which doesnt do anyone any favours!

    Will follow your story.
