- turning up at the gym and chatting up nice young staff at the reception
- 1 and 2 above
I feel better already! Thank you for the opportunity
Your other points I agree with, but those ones I'm not too convinced about (mainly because I do a variation).
- I can pay for a month and not go, or I can go 3 times a week. It depends on mood etc, and I'm relatively fit. Paying means that the option is always there should fancy going
- I tend to go the gym in gym clothes and then go to the shops on the way home. Nothing wrong with it!
- I don't chat up employees, but it is better to just live and let live
My pet peeve is the "professional" swimmers. The ones who go pretty regularly, and they are probably packing about 0% body fat. They also tend to be the complete opposite of a true professional swimmer in that they are ultimately just crap (in the grand scheme of things, but they could kick my bum).
The reason I hate them, though, is because they seem to think that they can just swim in front of you even though they are in the wrong lane, or going the wrong direction! Think of it like a normal two lane road (2 directions). They'll overtake you even though a lorry is oncoming in the other direction. A while back I twatted someone on the head when they tried the same thing. I'd say it was unintentional, but meh. They were in the wrong though.0 -
Oooh!
Grunting! I am not impressed!
I agree about dropping the weights as well.
Staring at my chest when i am lifting weights. ....go and get on with your own work!
An extra bench has been put into our gym away from the main bench weight section, close to the desk. We find that less confident users like me are trying free weights more often, and able to get on....while mr musclebound and his friends continue their bad habits at the back! Always someone on hand to help take those big disks off then!
I am an old fat beginner:p
and why do men take up so much space in the pool?0 -

I am happy to "live and let live". People who I have in mind often flog themselves as fit sporty or active. At every opportunity they remind you of this. It wouldn't bother me if they only fooled themselves but they want to blind you to the elephant in the room (their big beer belly & Co.)0
