Thanks Piggers and Pollybear. He's moved his appointment to 10:00 on 18th Nov, and is happy to go along and have it done; we'd just neither of us ever heard of it before. I'll take a look at the link Piggers provided after I take Jack for walkies (he's looking at me significantly).;)

I've not heard of the aortic aneurysm scanning. Sounds worthwhile, hope it goes ok, those who are having it done.

PigPen when I used to get tired and run-down I took Floradix tonic. There's also Spa-tone if you're short of iron. I think you can get both in Boots?

Monday - Little bit of everything to start the week
    Only got 15 minutes....
15 minutes tidying up/putting away downstairs (bungalow brigade living spaces)
    Got 30 minutes....
    S&S toilets and sinks
    Hoover and mop the floors
    An hour to spare....
An hour will make a big difference in your Room of Doom! Is it one big hotspot? Put the timer on and do chunks of 15 minutes filing, flinging, sorting tidying.
    Extras....
Plan something for later in the week/next week for half term
    Meal plan for the week
    Empty all the bins

Today I did the tidying up, hoovered through the high-traffic areas and mopped the bathroom floor. Still to do the kitchen floor, ugh I hate that job.. Seeing people mentioning their steam mop reminds me maybe I should get mine out again. I've just been using a cloth mop to clean the bathroom floor. I can't decide whether the steam mop is better than the old-fashioned cloth mop and bucket.

Swishy-swiped the bathroom sink and loo
    emptied all the bins

I don't so much have a Room of Doom but a Flat of Doom :rotfl: Everywhere I look something needs doing.

But even on day 1 of the FlyLady I can see the difference. It is starting to look better already  Thanks for the list. Hope to do some more tomorrow.

Thanks Heuchera.. I don't think I am short on iron just short on everything. I can't tolerate any iron supplements so I need to be really careful what I buy.. off to check out Boots in a bit, I have points I can use seeing as I have no money! (thank you scamtander thieves!!) and never found spatone to be any use at all when I took it in the past but I will keep it in mind if things don't pickup soon..

Off to post some parcels! ... adding that cost to the credit card!!

Tax credits still not sorted DS2's money so I am a substantial chunk short each week there too.. child benefit has been reinstated.. I'm NOT happy they were told he was continuing education.. and I know they got the letter because they got DD2's and they were in the envelope together, folded together.

:hello: hex! How lovely to see you!

:hello: also to heuchera and the other new flyladies, I'm sure you'll enjoy this very friendly group. Don't panic about the lists, especially if you have little ones. Aim instead for a gradual improvement.

I have been flying off list today. Kitchen doneand also the cloakroom.

DD came to favourite nursery with me, and we chose some violas - and just maybe one or two other things :D
Tub by front door now replanted, and also a bowl of early crocus, in greenhouse for the moment, I may find time to put together my winter indoor garden again. I haven't had time the past couple of years, and I miss it.

    Evening all.

About to go and make some deliveries, and I'll pay bills when I get home. I've just spent nearly 3 hours sorting out paperwork trying to find the relative bits of paper. Lots of progress made through, and I've chucked loads of papers in the recycling including a Christmas puzzle book from 2011 which I still haven't finished :rotfl::rotfl:

    Personal:
Work: [STRIKE]collect books, [/STRIKE]delivery, write up text order,
[STRIKE] Mr A shop to use price guarantee vouchers which expire tomorrow ;)[/STRIKE]
    Pay bills
    Surveys
    Set up money file
    Update accounts

Monday - Little bit of everything to start the week
    Got 30 minutes....
    S&S toilets and sinks
    Hoover and mop the floors
    [STRIKE]An hour to spare....
An hour will make a big difference in your Room of Doom! Is it one big hotspot? Put the timer on and do chunks of 15 minutes filing, flinging, sorting tidying. - Going to do an hour on the "office" which is my admin list ;)[/STRIKE]
    Extras....
[STRIKE] Plan something for later in the week/next week for half term[/STRIKE] Nothing interesting, just the end of the decorating in the livingroom as I'm working Wednesday onwards next week and no idea when DD will be back from a weekend away.
    Meal plan for the week
    Empty all the bins

Need to go and re-bag these deliveries as they got wet on Thursday night when I tried to deliver them so I de-bagged and forgot to re-bag :rotfl:

DD is washing up, and she wants pasta for tea, so I'll whack that on before I go out. She's staying home to declutter some more programmes off the old freeview box which have been there since 21st Sept. Anything not watched before she goes away this weekend will be deleted as the box is no longer working properly and is being flung. ;)

    Right, to work! :D

Need to get back to old style in modern ways, watching the pennies and getting stuff done!

Well I have managed to achieve things today, thank you for your support, I love reading what you've all got up to, in your quest for flyladyness, (obv a word I just made up whoops!) well managed to feed and bath the babies, clear up the mess that caused! Wash up, tidy up the mountain of toys on the landing, same with washing, hang up clean washing and change the babies beds. That with my cleaning this morning I don't feel like I've done too badly! Mind you neither do I feel like I've stopped for long! Still need to finish cleaning the ensuite, tidy my floordrobe, which is actually my whole room, change my bed and try not to have a glass of wine, as it's only Monday but I def feel like I deserve one!! :) x

    Curry made and eaten
Washing is drying all over the place.

House insurance is on my list tonight, I already have a quote for £112 less than my current provider, so I phoned them and they refused to budge on price, so I guess they don't want my business (not that it is a lot) this year!!
    Off to quidco as well...............

    Rampant Recycler Debt-free and Proud!
    Hiya everyone

That was a lovely list to start the week - always like to have a tidy round on Mondays anyway so at least place feels a bit more habitable and not quite so much of a hovel :rotfl:

Had to sort kitchen though, and have a freezer 'shuffle', as did a load of cooking yesterday and most of it was in fridge waiting to be bagged, labelled and frozen. Just 5 lb of mince left to 'organise' now - small job for tomorrow as not paid working

My 'R of D' is now really one hugemungeous hotspot  which completely covers my desk, the floor around my desk and the whole of the sofa bed. I have cleared out the two inbuilt floor to ceiling cupboards (where most of the rubbish 'needs to be sorted' stuff originally resided ) and what is left in there is now very tidy and organised.

However, last week I spent four hours on it and I've hardly made a dent :( Oh well - at least I won't run out of stuff to do after I've done the weekly lists and taken down Mount ironing :rotfl:

At work - on T-break - so I had best get on with something useful

    Be back later
