  • Hello all

Welcome newbies and hello returners

Dusty sending hugs and strength to you whilst you support your mum

Apologies, I've read the fred but can't remember much, so hugs, spoons and sticks to those that needs them.

My room of doom is to much to contemplate at the moment, so I just focused on keeping things clean and tidy

DW on, done, emptied and stuff put away
Washing folded and put in ironing basket
    Kitchen worktops and table wiped
    Kitchen floor swept
Car insurance done, managed to save £120 so very pleased!

I've completed the back of my jumper and will make a start on the front tomorrow

A few months ago I noticed a lump on the back of my knee, thought initially it would just go away, but after a couple of months it hadn't. I went to the doctor a month ago, who basically dismissed the lump, but said there was tenderness in the back of my knee so I've been referred to physio at the end of November. The lump is still there and now hurts, my knee has a constant dull ache. Late OH died from a soft tissue cancer, I *know* that my lump isn't cancerous, but my imagination is running away with me and it's bringing up bad memories. I've not told the doctor about late OH as I didn't want them to dismiss my fears. I've managed to get an appointment for tomorrow and I'm going to push for a biopsy. Sorry I just needed to get this out somewhere.

    (((Hugs))) to you, Deco.
More (((hugs))) to you too, Dusty.

I have just finished editing the web pages and will upload them in the morning. A good day's work all round - and I even managed to go to the Old Wives' meeting tonight.

DH and I spent half an hour this afternoon coordinating diaries. I got home form the Old Wives to find an empty house, so I rang him - he was at a meeting that he had forgotten to enter in his diary, DOOOOOOOOOOOOOHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!

It's her dribble bibs, they roll up under her chin if I don't iron them! :p

I wouldn't care if they did the Macarena under their chin.. they'd not be being ironed!

If they roll up under her chin then her clothes get wet instead of the bib, which would defeat the whole point of wearing a bib in the first place. She's teething at the moment and can soak through a bib in little over an hour, it's far easier to just change her bib rather than keep changing her tops all day long.

Right, kitchen cleared up, DW on, all ironing done, off to the land of nod for me. See you all tomorrow.

    Hiya everyone

Deco - well done on the savings on your insurance. Will be thinking of you at the doctor's and hope all goes well for you :)

On the low iron levels thing - maybe you could look online as there are quite a few sites that tell you which foods to eat that are high in iron content. Think it's also a good idea to have with foods high in Vit C as well to help with adsorption.

I have to do the ironing tonight before bed otherwise the baby will have no bibs tomorrow! :p

Sorry little one is not well. I agree with pig-pen though - no need to iron bibs - or most things come to that :rotfl:

Morning all. Hugs to Deco and Dusty.

I'm going to finish yesterday's list first today which is just the S&S toilets & sinks & mop floors, then I'm going to have a bath and walk the dogs (stopping at docs on way to order tabs) before the paid stuff.

    Have a great day everyone.

    Morning all

Deco big hugs sweetie, it is absolutely common to worry about illnesses which have affected those dearest to us. You need peace of mind so keep pushing sweetie and we are here for you, I'll make more space in my PM box in case you need me x

SAHMW - if you want to iron bibs then you do it, it can only take 5 minute, it is all about prioritising what is the most important bits to you.

Just going through the usual morning dispatch here, DW on.

  • Morning everyone - hugs to Dusty and Deco.

Trying to decide if it is going to rain whilst I do my 10 minute walk to get weighed - pretty windy here atm! Might just dash to get weighed and not stay to class - it won't be good news anyway!!

Have to do some finances as soon as I get back as a bill isn't tallying correctly. Will then get on with what is left of the lists - DH noticed the difference yesterday which was good!

Monday - Little bit of everything to start the week

    Got 30 minutes....
    S&S toilets

    Hoover and mop the floors

    Tuesday - Kitchen and Hallway
    Only got 15 minutes....

    Clear and wipe the surfaces
    Got 30 minutes....
Give the sink a good clean, descale drainer and taps, sloosh out your plug hole - did yesterday
    Dust any furniture or shelves
    An hour to spare....
Sort the baking cupboard - do you need anything for festive baking?
Wipe over the hob and oven door
    Clean a window
    Extras...
Get out the WM/DW manual and see if there are any programs you don't use which use less electricity
Check your stocks of DW salt (before people buy it for throwing on their icy path) and other cleaning products

Have a good day everyone and stay safe. x

Hugs Decko and Dusty, sounds like you're having tough times. I love how supportive everyone is on here to everyone.

    Rant alert!
I spent all day cleaning yesterday, including a good couple of hours tidying and sorting the babies rooms, and as they woke up at 4.55 they have completely trashed everything again!!!! I honestly wonder why I bother sometimes!!!!
Also been done over by someone on fleabay, paid for a coat, and they obv haven't posted it and have deleted their account!!!! Now I don't had a winter coat or the money to buy another. I'm pretty sure as they are no longer a member Paypal can't claim it back either??!!

Anyway back to the job in hand, I have 3-4 loads of washing to do, desperately need to clean my fridge out and clean the bin and grill pan, and declutter the hallway. I'm hoping someone will pick up the high chair I sold this morning. Going to drink more coffee first!
