Honey bear - hugs, much sympathy from me on that one.
Lynnejk - thanks but I need to finish before Monday and back to work, I hate coming back to the mess so it needs sorting
Hi Valli, and hello to Sushistar

There are now patches of tidy so today is about trying to join some of the dots. I usually start at the back door and work in but generally by the time I get the kitchen done I lose the will to live.

  • *Skinty sneaks in quietly*

Thank you for all your kind words and texts, I haven't meant to be MIA for so long! The Skint Pitz is living upto its name, I have half done jobs everywhere. So I am going to make a list of all the half done jobs and clear those before I start anything new.

From Tuesday I have a boot full of free firewood.....the stuff with nails from the site near the hospital had gone, but they had a big stack of untreated round ornamental logs (like you would use for making a raised border only these ones are 3ft each!) there were so many I couldn't get them all in my car....but I am welcome to get some more next time I go to the horsepiddle (as its 25 miles from home, I can't justify nipping back just for the wood!)

So unload the wood and stack somewhere dry-ish
Get the worst of the muck out of boot
Find a tarpulin and lay it out in the boot ready to harvest all the fallen wood from these lovely winds that have been blowing

Finish organising my long term storage for the @pproved food stuff.....I cannot use the wardrobe in the Puter room as a hidey hole anymore

Finish putting away the lovely clean baskets of washing in DS, DD4 and my room.

Finish sorting the "Gibble" boxes that I have been collecting in each room

Get DD4 broken cot out of my hallway and in the car and off to the tip (see wood removal first!)

Get bread soaking for bread pudding before NDN chickens have to have the bread instead of us

Get DW unloaded from Wednesday night.....I am ashamed to say I WU by hand as I couldn't unloading it myself......then get the loosely rinsed plates in the DW and get the counters cleaned ( I did one yesterday)

Get cardboard divider inserts from @pproved foods flattened and hidden away ready to make drawer dividers for DS toys to avoid him yanking everything out to find one piddley little plastic figure)

Put the recycling envelopes and paper into one big bag ready to make spills later (currently been flung inside the fireguard for last 4 days as stopped using fire when EXMiL was here)

Get the partially sorted junk off my bed sorted and put away.

Wrestle with DD3's duvet cover and get it slung in WM with stuff already pre-treated before school run.

Get back on to energy supplier to get gas on fixed rate tariff asap.

While Puter is on, get receipts added onto money program before 2 receipts breeds into 200!

Finish hoovering the upstairs....DD4's room is half done.

Right, going to start with making a brew and get that bread soaking.

BTW .........looking at last weeks thread, where do you get marigold powder or how do you make your own?

Anyone want to join on a Half Done Jobs Mission? at 12?
The cold never bothered me anyway

Thanks for sympathetic noises. I might start carrying a stick, not to use, but just to make it look as though I might. *puts stick on collect-while-on-a walk list*

Skinty, I'm catching up on half done tasks. I'm half way through dealing with half of the leftover pears from the fridge, dehydrating the big slices and about to embark on another batch of pear chutney with the other half - the tiddley offcuts. I will be chopping, stirring and boiling for some time. Then I need to work on the lining for the dressing gown, so that's half done, too.
    Better is good enough.

Skinty - I get it from Mr M's - and ours isn't a big one (ie not all ranges stocked) - it's near the herbs/gravy/other stock usually - but on a top shelf!

I have reorganised under-the-stairs. I have 3 carrier bags full of carrier bags (these will go to Mr M's for recycling); the vacuum to throw and a lot more space.:D

Mysteriously my DD for the fuel has gone up even though I am in credit:mad:

I have taken the blown oven bulb out and am carefully plotting a route to take in the oven bulb shop and the tip. I won't tag it on to my town errand as I would be down the tip with close to £2K in cash in the car which is probably not wise.

    I've been Money Tipped!
    THIS MORNING:
    [STRIKE]Answer work emails[/STRIKE]
[STRIKE]Organise work diary (I have got a bit disorganised, I need to get everything straight!)[/STRIKE]
Organise my diary and update to-do lists - ditto
[STRIKE]Get lunch for toddler and me[/STRIKE] and all cleared up and put away,

    THIS AFTERNOON
    Write mum's bday card
Pack for night away - me, dd, ds1, ds2
Laundry laundry laundry! See how much I can get done before we have to leave at 3pm - did one load, and dishwasher on, so slight progress there

I think the packing and mum's bday card have to take priority now, and then will do anything else I can.

Skinty your hald done task list is very impressive - hope you and honeybear get it all done. :)

Got slightly distracted. I was putting some stuff in the garage from the garden and I ended up having a little tidy up and mowing the lawn. It was dry and I had time. Those two don't usually collide!
Also been flitting around the house, starting a job and then getting distracted by another. But her is my list so far!

    [STRIKE]Ds2 swimming[/STRIKE]
    Tidy living room
    [STRIKE]Dw
    Wm[/STRIKE]
    Put all clothes away
    Put stuff in the loft
    [STRIKE]Put stuff in the garage[/STRIKE]
    Declutter and Hoover stairs
Declutter kitchen! (Massive job- loads of stuff has been put there as it doesn't have a home!)
    [STRIKE]Make chilli for dinner[/STRIKE]

What to do next? I am ignoring living room as it's not too bad and ds2 will only mess it up again!
Right, put all clothes away and then Declutter and Hoover stairs!
