Hi all
Yep LW been there done that. I am going through the whole thing of looking for the bad/negative in every situation at the moment. The thing is I know that I am doing it but cant stop myself.
Not been on here much, partly because DS is a bit poorly and partly because we have had internet problems. Trying to wangle a couple of days off work next week. We need a shopping trip, DS2 needs new school shoes.
Right, off to put the dishwasher on and make a brew I think. Lots of paid stuff tomorrow so I need to make things are reasonably tidy before I go to bed tonight.0 -
8 hrs of paid stuff finished me off a bit today I'm afraid. All washing put away though :T bathroom tidied and landing hotspot tamed. Last night hhc although interrupted by small person halfway through was very productive.
Not going to play group tomorrow as dd has had av unsettled week and will probably be superclingon girl tomorrow so it won't be worth it and I can get on with some jobs and munch some frogsour usual childminder had d&v in the house so couldn't work ties and wed so the kids went to a different cm those days and although smallest one was happy enough we have had awful nights this week

LW huggles for you. Serena is right the absolute majority of people are much more interested in what they are saying/doing to notice what others do or say. Hypnotise that naughty doggy to sleep.
Going to put DW on, get DS3 to bed and call it a day as everytime I sit down I fall asleep.The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0 -
Umm... hello everyone. I've been lurking on your thread for a few days and wondered if I could join in please?
My DH and I both work (although we're both part time, and juggle the childcare between us) and we have 3 DCs. I've just been getting back on top of our finances, switching bank accounts and checking our gas, phone etc. I'm feeling so motivated, having sorted all that out, that it's inspired me to tackle other areas as well - the house, and garden, meal planning (which I used to be very organised at, but has slipped lately!) and maybe loose a few lbs too. And sort out Christmas of course. Phew!
Today I was proud of myself - made a very MSE veg soup from various random bits in the fridge, and there's plenty to freeze. We eat FAR too much shop bought soup - easy meal of choice - but I know how much cheaper it is to make my own. I also made some bread rolls. They didn't rise properly (yeast too old!) but warm from the oven, the DCs wolfed them down dipped in the soup. I whizzed up some old stale bread into breadcrumbs, some for the freezer and some for tuna bites (like meatballs but with tinned tuna - egg, breadcrumbs, tuna, baked in the oven). And it's all cleared up, and children asleep.I really want to get more organised with meals, it saves us so much money - today dinner was pretty much all made from leftovers / stuff that needed using. I just need to replicate that more often, and we'll save £££.
We are away for 1 night tomorrow, and the dirty laundry pile is overwhelming (overflowing!). Aiming for a quickwash load done and in the dryer before I go to sleep.0 -
dailies done kitchen cupboards re-organized will tidy living room before going to bed and put washing machine on timer-the laundry will be ready to hang out when i get up and Hello to Sushistar i have recently joined this thread, it is friendly and helpful:j:hello::coffee:Penny Pincher in training

it's the hols:beer::rotfl::cool::T:T:D:D:D
we had twilight training on Wednesday (was it only yesterday?) and have another session to come so we have earned a day off. Very busy at work - we had inspectors in for 'practice' (honestly!) and a briefing after school.
Managed to plant up the last tub of daffs (on behalf of gardening club) before I left tonight...
Have in town errands to do tomorrow, after 3 when I can park for free. I also need to phone dentist and docs:o
I have read the thread and apprecate the references Serena and Hex.
Have managed to do some washing and TD but, in all honesty, house looks ok. Must be absence of teenagers:rotfl:
