  • now up to £110 spent with £20 left to last 13 days; in theory we should only need bread/wraps, milk and bf's snacks to take to camp oh and ham. Baby food jars are covered as I put some money on a gift card at the start of the month using one of my health insurance rewards having taken that from the grocery budget already :)

How sad to hear of Rosieben's passing. My thoughts are with her friends and family.

  • Sad news regarding rosieben :( thoughts and best wishes to family and friends....

Big shop yesterday which has brought me to a running total of £148.54/£300.... there will be an additional spend tomorrow on toiletries as I will stock up while I am in town but it will work out cheaper in the long run and I'm being driven there so no travel costs! ;)

  • Another NSD today, although I had to buy DS a new phone cover, but not from grocery budget so not counting it here. Really struggled at lunch, had stuff for a sandwich in office, but got an offer for fish and chips. How did I resist?

Decided to focus on Grandsons pension fund after car cleared. Target will be £2880. We are not here for long, so I want to make my earnings count.
  • The news about Rosieben is so sad. The list she did is invaluable to people. I wish her family and friends well during this time. It's never easy when someone dies.

Yesterday we bought a 1kg pot of cashew nut butter for £7 as had a till spit out for H&B that made your highest buy half price! Probably still sounds expensive but as this stuff sells for £2.40 for a 170g jar in Mr S, or £13.99 for a kg pot in H&B, I'm pleased.

So we are at £94.04 for the month.

Hoping for a no spend day today.

Clocking in with a spend of £19.40p, quite a few high cost items in there so not too pleased with myself. :o

But I did get kitchen roll on offer for £3.30p and £5 of it was for ingredients for some cakes my little boy has asked to make (I have most things but these were very specific items, eek!)... not too bothered, I will, pull it back before the end of the month, I'm sure :)

Compensating a little by making a chicken broth and dumplings with leftover chicken from Sunday and other bits I have in :D

  • So sorry to hear about rosieben :( Thoughts are with friends and family.

NSD for me :D Have been wading through my many bags of frozen vegetables for the past week and I'm pleased to report I can finally shut the freezer drawer without having to fling myself at it ;) Think I should be able to make it until at least the weekend now without any grocery spends, but we'll see!
