    Hello,

Back from Italy, bang on budget, the 180 Euros were more than enough and we managed to get flowers and cakes for relatives in it, and even a meal out! Extra spend on the credit card was taken into account and has already been repaid. So, overall, a really frugal but fun few days.

Just back from MrS where I needed a few top up bits, spend near enough £18 so am going to update my sig now.

Totally shocked by the sadness of Rosieben passing. I knew her in person and she was a wonderful woman. I shall pray for her family.
Finally I'm an OAP and can travel free (in London at least!).

Did my weekly shop yesterday and then got a couple of other bits and pieces tonight, spending £20.21. So my total so far for this month is £25.64
    Will update sig now :)

Am so glad you had a lovely break. Very sad news to come home to.
It makes me think about what is really important in life, people, not stuff.
  • Picked up a few bits we'd ran out of for pack ups. 7.68 spent. Hoping for a NSD tomorrow and Friday.

£27.01spent at Asda online. All stocked up now. Trying to meal plan. Find it difficult when the kids don't eat the same and i need to plan for them on the evenings i'm at work, or they end up not eating properly and then i feel bad for not being there.

  • Another spend today £11.57 on bread, milk, fruit and freezer bags (stocked up because I know I forget them and they come in so handy for packing food into my small freezer)
  • Yesterday for the first time I saved some veg ends and trimmings in freezer bags for making veg stock, I also chopped up some floppy celery and added it to 2 bags. It made me wonder why I had never thought to do this before with floppy veg - it's so obvious. I guess as the veg goes in our own compost heap it's not being wasted and I think you just do things on autopilot.

Did a top up shop today round about when I estimated I'd need too :) Bought bread, milk, eggs and some fruit. I also bought some soya milk for DD so I can make her some porridge and make pancakes for everyone.

    12/11 £7.64
