Hi Everyone!
Thanks for the advise and support. I dont want to paint a bad picture of my DM so please remember she is old and has a one track mind of "My daughter should live with me".
When she was down for a visit, I asked her to pop to her local council and ask about HB. I told her that you lovely people had advised me that she could get it and if we set up a proper rental agreement we could both take the pressure off. Her response was that it wouldn't make any difference. I explained that even after tax it would be more than what she gives me as "help". Unfortunately she will only consider it if things get to the stage where I have to sell the house. I know this makes my DM sound terrible but she just is oblivious to everything these days. All that matters to her is that she is happy in her (my) house and that her daughter should be with her. She loves me very much and has looked after me a lot over my life. So unless I really have to push her into doing something, I will look into other options first.
Please don't think I have ignored your advise. I really appreciate it. It has given me some relief knowing I have some more options before making big sacrifices.
The last few days have been busy with training the new staff and organising things at home. Yesterday I managed to get OH to help me with the housework so it feels nicer in our flat. I have been getting so tired lately, even when I have had enough sleep. Starting to think a trip to the doc might have to be slotted in somewhere. Maybe just a general check up etc. I always find it hard to go to the doc, it is a sure fire way to notch up my anxiety. I do it though if I think I need to. Health over anxiety!
Anyway, not much to really tell you. Got to tally up my spends and see if I was in budget...:rotfl:. I am amazed it is Monday again already!
Have a great evening!

Hi Diary and Diary Readers!
As I mentioned, I have been feeling run down and tired and I have been training new staff. So yesterday was my day off and one of my staff called in sick. Therefore I was required to work. Unfortunately, I didn't find out until today. I got a very angry manager shouting at me for not answering my phone. I calmly explained I hadn't received anything and that it could be my phone as it is on the frazz.
Honestly, roll on February. I am feeling so much less stressed now I have made the decision to leave. I am counting down the days. I am just hoping my money saving tips and savings hold me until I get a new job. I feel positive about it all though.
On the plus side, yesterday turned into an unexpected NSD!:j
Have a great evening everyone

Hi October, sorry to hear your manager gave you such a hard time, they can't have tried very hard to contact you, so I wouldnt worry too much about it. Well done on the NSD!!! MrsT.:T0 -
Hi Diary and Diary Readers! :j
Thank you Mrs T. I am sure she will get over it.
It's been a funny weekend. I have worked a lot but been feeling run down still. Going to book an appointment with the doc tomorrow. Hopefully get some ideas on what it could be. A while back I bought 5 cinema tickets for £20.00 from Gpon. The OH and I went to see "The Imitation Game" with Eggs Cucumber in it. It was very emotional and intense but some really good acting. Only thing spoiling it was the two old dears sat next to me. First they kept talking, then one had their phone go off and couldnt find it in her handbag to turn it off and finally the one right next to me was taking up tonnes of the limited floor space with a giant bag. Honestly.. they complain about young people! :rotfl: Afterwards I took the OH to pizzaH. It was naughty as it was a big spend at the wrong end of the month. He has paid out a lot though this week including over £90.00 on xmas pressies for both our families (mostly mine!). The "date" was great but it exhausted me and we ended up having a little fall out last night. Nothing that we aren't over already but it put a negative on an otherwise lovely day.
So things are exceptionally tight now as all my extras have been used up. I had to borrow £100 out of my saving just to make sure I didn't get overdrawn. My £40 my DM gave me is now £30. I put £5 into a sealed pot and used £5 for a cheeky takeaway on Friday night. My DD for my loan came out so that is down some more and I paid off my spends on my C/C so not too bad. I have 60hours worth of overtime coming on payday (4days to go!) so hopefully that will cover the overspends and top my savings up nicely. Christmas is almost sorted. Just some last minute things for my staff and for my DM and DA.
My OH and I are playing a subscription game together which is taking up a lot of time and therefore not costing us too much on going out etc. He has his computer on my fold away table which means his legs are cramped and it isn't very comfy. I went on E B of A and there was a small computer desk for £5.00 being sold locally. I put a bid in and won it for £5.50.:T I know it's extra spends but it will be worth it. Just waiting for the seller to respond to my message about picking it up. It also came out of the money in my PPal account that I got for my sale so not too much taken out of my account.
That's all today. Not very interesting really. I will keep you posted.

Hi October, just caught up with your diary.
I am really sorry work is being so horrible to you. I suffer with anxiety and understand the hesitance to change! Been trying to leave my job for 3 years and I am still here!!
I hope your mum understands your situation soon. Have you been completely upfront with her RE: money and lack of it?0 -

Eggs Cucumber!I laughed out loud when I spotted this, I really don't like him so I am definitely calling him this from now on!!
Hope all is well with you. MrsT.0 -
Sounds like you're doing really well. You may have had to borrow from your savings but at least you had the savings in place, far better than relying on credit cards.
It was my payday today and I already can't wait for next month - not so I have money but to see the debts drop again! Such a good feeling!Debt as at 5 June 2023 - £15,600.89
Current debt - £6,535.00

Hi Everyone!
Things aren't going so well at the moment and it is hard for me to put it all into words. Will try and catch up soon.
