Glad you've made up, its horrible when there's tension, as you probably know from my diary, I've found it very hard to talk to OH, when we did talk, I wondered why I hadn't done it sooner and what I was scared of, I married the guy, its ridiculous that I didnt feel able to talk to him!
I do get strange moods though, recently I've been really down (I didnt realise how down I was and how much it was affecting me until I read my diary entries back ), then I get grumpy (usually on a Monday), but now I just feel really contented and can't wait to spend time with OH, whatever we do, whereas last week it was a major issue that all he wanted to do was watch Netflix.
You sound like an Exxcel whizz, wish I was as savvy with it as that, I tried to set up a spreadsheet but failed miserably as all of the formula's were wrong. I used to work with a 'spreadsheet queen', she'd have knocked me one up in no time! Will stick to writing it on here I think. Although I do really like the food shopping idea, but not sure if I can get the prices for everything off al6i website. Will have to look.
(so sorry for waffling on on your diary )0 -
October as I said hun, it is fine to be *truthful* on here. Things ain't rosy, and that is the reason 99.9% of us are on here. We are all working on things, and getting it out here helps us to come to terms with it, think on it when it is in black and white and then make positive changes. So keep writing things... Even if it stops another argument with OH because you vented on here and smiled sweetly at him as you typed
Spreadsheet sounds fab! I love a good spreadsheet and AleMrsT I am a self taught spreadsheet queenrunning totals that drag through a 12 tab annual figure etc etc. If you have any specific questions just give me a shout. And would be happy to knock you one up if you let me know what precisely you want!! I am sure October would be happy to share hers too
Off to sleep. Hope you get a good night hun! xx

Thanks Liltdiddylilt. I don't even know if excel can do what I want it to do!
I want a spreadsheet where I have my set outgoings that do not change automatically filled in for each month (rent/phone etc) then I input my wages when I get my payslip, and press a button, and it tells me how much I have left then allocates a percentage to food/car savings/holiday savings/weekly spends.0 -
Yes, it can be done! But just reading that... have you thought about using the MSE Budget Planner, and downloading the excel template rather than doing it online? Have you ever used it? I used it often and downloaded a copy of it to play with. It is exceptionally thorough, but you would have to explain numbers to it rather than percentage breakdowns.
If that isn't what you need then all I need to know (PM me) are:
Would you prefer one tab with all of the info on, and another one behind to add in your wages etc to and the percentage splits to change the front, or would you like one for each month?
How many income categories do you have and what are the titles (don't need your figures!)
How many DD/SO have you got going out each month that don't change
How many outgoing categories do you have other than the ones that are set each month?
HTHIf you need me to do the spreadsheet I will have to do it at work on Weds as I am on a mac here and can't save it in an excel format even though I can open excel docs on here!
xx

Ah bless you liltdiddylilt. Will check out the spreadsheet version of the budget planner. Don't want you to do unnecessary work on my behalf, that isn't fair on you.
Thank you so much.0 -
Sad as this sounds, it is all just fun for me
I am happy either way as long as you get what you feel comfortable with!!

Lilty.. It is scary how alike we are. I love spreadsheets too! Being able to put a number in a box and it work out absolutely everything for you is AMAZING!
I did a default one for my budget MrsT. If you want a copy, feel free to pm your email address and I will happily send it to you with some basic instructions. Otherwise, I highly recommend getting Lilty to do one for you. You can then have exactly what you want and need and she can make it so easy for you to use
I will do an update in a bit. Need to finish some work..hahaha

Haha October I really think we may be the same person
I am sure you could do just as good a spreadsheet as I. There are some fabby downloadable ones to but I am very sad in that I like linking up tabs and pulling figures through. I made a brilliant one for work, for tracking the targets throughout the year for the Advisers to work out who got bonuses.
Love it!
Enjoy work. We are off to the docsxx

Don't feel bad, we are like one big happy family on here so diaries merge and we all have good chats on them
I don't think I'm going to give much of an update today as I'm shattered and to be honest not a lot to report.
Will likely post a lonnnnng post tomorrow hehe.
Love to you all xx
