The Pinterest pictures are certainly lovely! We shall see what my efforts end up like...
I like to put the 'open fire' screensaver on the telly, Michael Buble album on in the background, a glass of Bailey's, and do my wrapping.
Then struggle to get off the floor and tidy up :rotfl::rotfl:

My name is freyasmum and I'm a wrapaholic.
I looooooooooooove it!! And have been asked to wrap presents for other people as well
It's all part of the atmosphere; lots of pretty papers and tissue papers, jingly bells, candy canes, double-sided tapes, cellophanes, and confettis. Few drinks, some Christmas lights... and peace! It's bliss :j0 -
Can I join the wrapaholics club?!
I have to admit though I only love it when I'm wrapping easy shapes like boxes or very soft things - can't abide awkward ones like wine bottles or quality street tins!
I can't bear wrapping up presents without adding ribbons (in two colours of course!), I get annoyed with bows though because they always seem to fall off under the tree!
Just invested in a tape dispenser on eBay... Several years overdue I'm feeling
P.s. Loving the Santa and elf themed wrapping!!0 -
Quality Streets are the easiest to wrap
My essentials are:
Scotch tape (matte and shiny) in a dispenser, double-sided tape and glue dots.
Obviously paper
A selection of raffia, curling ribbons, and fabric ribbons.
Decent scissors.
Tissue papers - can wrap or create decorations with it.
Decorations - candy canes/pinecones/jingle bells/

Freyasmum - super and tidy packing - will put mine to shame!! What a super rose and the black wrap is done to perfection - dread to think what mine would look like!!
Still not got a tape dispenser and stick it to my face, legs, whatever!
Yes like you Kath I found bows always dropped off in the end so now mainly use just for Birthdays.Great opportunities to help others seldom come, but small ones surround us every day. -- Sally Koch0 -
Oh my goodness freyasmum, love those!! How do you get your quality streets so nice and tidy?!0

Oooh this thread is making me giddy!
I'm going black and gold this year with a touch of white and red.
My plan is to wrap archive boxes in plain gold on the bottom with the black and gold (it's striped paper) lid. I'm planning to double layer a gold mesh ribbon with a black velvet ribbon over the top and make bows.
Inside will be black and gold tissue paper put through my shredder (which does 1/4" strips) and then the presents will mostly be individually wrapped inside.
I'm hand making gift tags and cards too along the same theme!
At least I know I won't get made fun of here :rotfl:0 -

My names Newthirft and i'm a wrapaholic
Glad to see i'm not alone! Loving the pictures. I always get everything out and then sit with Christmas films on the telly and trundle through the wrapping, it's a rather enjoyable time for me!Christmas is the most magical time of the year :santa2:
