    Thanks Bob!

I left Miss Negative Pants at home today!

I paid £4.05 off my CC this morning which came in from Shopitize and when I was updating my spreadsheet I realised that I've actually cleared over £6k of debt! :j I'm not sure whether I'd realised that before but if I had, I'd forgotten so I'm congratulating myself anyway!

Also, got a few freebies on the go - Yeo Valley yogurt, John West spreadables and free pizzas! Freebies always cheer me up! Think I'm going to make ice cream with the yogurts and put the john west aside and donate to a food bank as I don't eat fish at all and OH very rarely does.

I'm going to attempt to go back to circuits tonight but will strap my ankle up to give it extra support! Really hoping I can get properly back into it as only just over a month until Tough Mudder and I'm feeling very under prepared!

A small bit of negativity today - my friend goes back to Aus :( Loved having her back but will be very exciting the next time I see her as it will be when she's back for her wedding!

How funny Twiggy. I also paid off £5 today using the COS payout. Paying 6k off is amazing.

Unfortunately I've had to book my car into the garage. It's overdue it's service anyway and has been making a noise which I've been trying to ignore but had a moment earlier so its need to go in and get checked out. I was reversing on a hill, stalled, started rolling forward, went to brake and they didn't work! Only just missed a parked car! However the brakes were then fine so I have been questioning myself if I had my foot on the right pedal but I'm certain (almost certain, possibly maybe certain..) that I did. But anyway, it's going in next week for my piece of mind and they can check out the noise too.

Not sure yet where the money is going to come from. It's payday on Tuesday and after that I would have £40 in my car maintenance pot which clearly wont cover it. I could rejig my budget slightly but as car insurance and home insurance are coming up (although do have the majority already saved) as well as OH's birthday, I'm not sure I can rejig it enough! One option is my emergency fund or the other is the bank of mum and dad. They are always willing to help and I did pay them straight back the £96 for the boiler (dad had to pay when he arranged it) despite them saying not to worry. Need to think about this one.

Potential good news... Just ran an insurance comparison quote - cant get exact as due more than 30 days away, but car insurance is pretty much what I will have put aside and home insurance is a fair bit less! So hopefully will have money spare from my home insurance pot!

Twiggy - I really do sympathise. Having had to scrap a car last year that I had to drive knowing it was not really in a fit state, and would stall all the time, and had an epic oil leak, it really does your head in. I still dont miss a car now because of the nightmares that one gave us.
If you have £369 in your EF plus another £40 allocated towards it anyway in this months budget, why not get quotes and if that exceeds your budget see if your parents would help. I know Patman is forever saying it on his £1000 challenge thread, but that is what the EF is there for, times like this.
Dont feel bad about using it.

I know it's silly isn't it Bob - that's what its there for but I don't like using it! Definitely wont reach my target of £1,000 in the EF by xmas if I use it for my car but that was only a target set by me, I just don't like failing! However what I should be doing is giving myself praise for having it there in the first place!

Weekend was ok money wise. Went to the local airshow on Saturday - got a lift there, bought some drinks at the shop and then got the bus home rather than a taxi despite having a splitting headache which was making me want to cry or be sick (or both!) So saved about £10 by getting the bus but wish I had just driven myself as only had two drinks due to headache! Yesterday was then spent giving the house a good clean (not that you can tell as it still looks like a building site!)

Payday tomorrow and I'm determined to do better next month as feel I've slipped this month. However I haven't incurred any more debt! I'm still waiting for the money from PayPal - ok just gone into PayPal at is was showing as ready to withdraw so I obviously hadn't done it properly last time!!! Ooopps! So I've now requested it again! I'm also now at £19.90 on COS so just need to upload two more receipts before Wednesday as I believe it pays out on Thursdays.

Oh and I've also agreed to help my friend with two more parties, one in Sept and one in Nov so not for a while but it will be an extra £40! I really appreciate the extra as I don't have the opportunity for overtime or anything with my job and I think that will be an extra £100 in the last few months so it all helps!

Pay day yesterday so paid £250 off the CC plus £1.07 which I received from ClickSnap!

I also put £110 in my EF so it's back up to where is was before the boiler broke! However car is being serviced today so it will get depleted again! Fingers crossed it wont cost too much.

As I'm car-less today, I borrowed my boss' bike and cycled 6.5 miles to work! So I'm feeling good (but achey) for that and will cycle home again later. I did go to circuits last night but the instructor emailed to say he couldn't make it (20 minutes before it was due to start!) so I did 40 mins of squats, press ups etc and boy has my fitness dropped since I sprained my ankle!

I also requested a payout from COS so that can go towards CC/house/EF when it arrives!

I really must stop saying I'm going to send those CDs off and actually send them off! I'm feeling sentimental towards them even though I haven't listened to them! I think it's because I don't have them on my phone so once they're gone - they're gone! But I really must do it! Job for this weekend!
