Oh twiggy! I'm so sorry and so mad on your behalf. Sometimes people make such rash decisions without thinking of the greater impact. I hope it gets resolved ASAP for you. OH owes you a nice day out somewhere or a bunch of nice flowers. Keep smiling. MrsT.

Blimey Twiggy I'd be stressed too. So sorry he is being so selfish and not thinking things through from your POV as well.:(

    Thank you both.

I do understand his POV in that he feels like they're taking the p*** if he's working for nothing, but I'm mad that he didn't think through the consequences and just made a rash decision. Fingers crossed it all works out.

And to look to the positives - how much of a worse place would I be if I hadn't had my LBM and made such good progress!?

Very true Twiggy. You do have to try and see the positives don't you.

Not a good week - my OH's mum's 18 year old dog passed away today :(. Had him since OH was 12 and OH only moved out last year so pretty much grown up with him. However he was at home in his sleep in his mum's lap, can't ask for a better way than that.

Good news - OH got paid and still has a job!

Bad news - boiler packed in this morning! Have guarantee/warranty but didn't realise needed an annual service so will cost £96 for service but they'll then fix for free. Least I have my EF to cover the damage.

Had a lovely, if not slightly spendy, weekend. Spent the day yesterday with my mum, brother's OH, her daughter and my nephew at a fairy festival! However then came home and had takeaway as hadn't sorted anything for dinner. I do seem to be failing a bit at weekends and I'm not sure where my resolve has gone.

Oh well - its gone now so nothing I can do but jump back on the bandwagon and grip on for dear life! :rotfl:

Just checking although nothing really to report!

Met up with friends last night before friend goes back to Aus. Had dinner before I went and then drunk water! Meaning that the only money I spent yesterday was on the food shop!

Boiler service has been paid for out of the emergency fund so I've updated my signature.

Really not feeling like I'm getting anywhere at the moment, and feeling like I wont meet my goals. So I need to remind myself of just how far I've come in under a year. Why do we all seem to go through these peaks and troughs for no apparent reason?!

Oh and just realised I haven't done my monthly update. Don't think it will show much coming off but I must do it anyway - anything off is a step in the right direction! Right - back shortly!

My signature on 16 July was:-
    LBM 16.10.14 - CC - £6,652.68 - now £3,994.74
    OD - £480.52 - now £0 :j Next - £436.48 - now £0 :j
    Beds - £1,667.00 - now £0 :j Parents - £626.96 - now £0 :j
    TOTAL - £9,863.64 - now £3,994.74
    £1,000 EF #31 - £365.40/£1,000 Pay off by xmas 2015 #49 £4,293.18/£5,000

My signature as of today is:-
    LBM 16.10.14 - CC - £6,652.68 - now £3,708.57
    OD - £480.52 - now £0 :j Next - £436.48 - now £0 :j
    Beds - £1,667.00 - now £0 :j Parents - £626.96 - now £0 :j
    TOTAL - £9,863.64 - now £3,708.57
    £1,000 EF #31 - £369.40/£1,000 Pay off by xmas 2015 #49 £4,579.35/£5,000 Mortgage overpayments £100

Meaning I paid off £286.17 last month plus made £100 overpayment to my mortgage. Hoping to do better than that this month, although I'm not sure how, but I do have £40 that I'm still waiting on from OnePoll, £4.05 from Shopitize and I'm at £19.50 on COS so only another 50p until I can request that money. So that's nearly £65 although did intend to put some towards the house fund/EF (particularly now EF has taken a hit). But it's a start anyway!

Maybe this month I'll actually send those bloody CDs off! And maybe this month I'll find a way to get the few bits of clothes on eBay! Maybe this month I'll get my rear end back in gear! :rotfl:

All you can think is that's £286 that you'll never pay interest on again. And that £100 off the mortgage has probably saved you a fortune in long term costs.

You are doing really well overall. Keep going Twiggy :)
